  • Reverse Kegel Log

Hello everyone, I started a kegel routine a few weeks ago and figured I might as well publish my progress here.

Just to give you a bit of backstory, I started to get ED issues in 2015 after doing a kegel routine that didn't include any reverse kegels. Maybe I hurt myself in the process of doing this or maybe I caused a muscular imbalance, but some weird things have happened since then. Initially, there were days when I couldn't get an erection. These days were thankfully rare and I haven't had that problem for years, but I still have a diminished erection quality - they're not as hard as they used to be and don't last as long. I've also had weird issues like only getting erect in half of my penis, so the right half is really hard while the left is almost completely soft, and cumming in erratic ways sometimes like my muscles are misfiring. I also don't get hard with girls as easily as I used to - four years ago, just knowing that I was going to have sex was enough to get me excited, but now it's not unusual that I'll be making out with a girl and still not hard, especially if I haven't slept with her before (don't know why because I genuinely don't feel nervous about this kind of thing).

So yeah, it's a mess. My best theory is that this has been caused my a muscular imbalance in my pelvic floor which has endured for years. Because of this, I decided to start a fairly mild routine of reverse kegels (12 x 13 second holds with 13 second breaks in between). I intend to work in other exercises once I feel comfortable doing so - needless to say, I'm very worried about overdoing things again. I've been doing this RK routine for a month and I'll document my results here.

I'm doing this on memory, so I may miss certain details, but I do also have a very good memory so it should be okay.

Anyway, the first week was really good. One thing that really surprised me was something I'd almost forgotten about. I hadn't woken up with an erection for months, maybe years - but after about five days of RKs, these erections came back. Since then, I've had them very consistently, almost annoyingly so - they've been so hard at times that it's tough to get back to sleep afterwards. I also noticed that I could cum harder than usual.

Things were all moving in the right direction until about ten days in, when I had my first of those 'erratic ejaculation' things I was talking about before, where my pelvic floor muscles fire in an arrhythmic kind of way. This is the only one I've had this month (and it wasn't a particularly bad one) but it concerned me a bit when everything else had been going so well.

What else? I've backed off doing the RKs everyday lately because I was worried I might overdo it, although it seems like things were actually better than I was doing them everyday. I'm not getting the morning erection thing as often now and I think my EQ has dipped back down a bit, so I'm going to move back to making it a daily exercise. I think that's all so far though: basically, a month of RKs have made things better.

Figured I'd resurrect this if you pardon the pun, since I haven't really done much in the way of kegel exercises since lockdown started. As it stands, I still have those 'erratic ejaculations' I mentioned before where my PC/BC muscles don't fire in a regular way. Those went away as I did my reverse kegels though. I also have weaker orgasms than I think I should as well, which I think comes from the fact that the 'lower muscles' of my pelvic floor don't actually do much during orgasm - it feels like the muscles higher up that are more part of the shaft are doing most of the work instead.

Anyway, I aim to do kegels regularly from now on and see what improvements I can get to.
