  • Reggie's log/struggles

Hey guys. This will be my log, and this first entry is unfortunately a bit lengthy, so for anyone who reads, thanks! I started PE with the goal of increasing length and girth (about 1.0-1.5 inches length and 0.25-0.50 inches girth). After getting overwhelmed by the all the information out there, I decided that JP90 was the easiest place to start. I’m now two weeks in, and though it’s been going okay so far, I feel like I’m struggling a bit and was wondering if the community here could offer any advice that might help me out.

Week 1: Things are pretty good. I almost immediately noticed a pronounced increase in my flaccid hang throughout the day, and was psyched to see a positive change so quickly. I had a few petechiae on my glans after the first time or two, which I took to be a positive PI, though I stopped seeing this after my first two days.

Week 2: I modified my jelq technique a bit based on further reading on the forums. Whereas before I had slid one hand up my shaft, released, then slid the other hand up, I’m now maintaining my grip near the glans as I slide my second hand up (creating a kind of “pump” mid-shaft as I jelq). I release my grip on the glans once my second hand reaches about mid-shaft. This method resulted in the appearance of more petechiae on my glans, which I took to be a positive sign. Unfortunately, the increased flaccid hang that I had enjoyed the first week seems to have diminished a bit.

Here are the ways I feel like I’m struggling:

    1) The biggest problem is my EQ during jelqs. I find it really difficult to maintain an appropriate erection level while jelqing. After the warm-up/stretching routine, my dick is like a floppy noodle and I usually need porn to help myself out. Once I start jelqing, my dick wants to immediately go soft again. What’s odd is that often I’ll notice in the middle of a jelq that my dick feels softer; I’ll let go and my dick just flops down, completely flaccid, BUT it is still the same size as it is while erect! This is kind of cool in one sense, as it makes me look hung like a horse, perhaps offering a preview of what my dick could look like once I’ve been doing PE for a while. It does obviously make jelqing difficult, however.

What I’ve been doing is having porn playing on my phone where I can quickly glance at it to help refresh my erection when needed, and then look away so I don’t get too hard. The problem is, this approach is starting to have diminishing returns. I’m getting sensitized to the porn. I already had a porn addiction going in to all this, and I feel like using porn to help me jelq is just making things worse.

Just for some additional detail on my EQ: after finishing the routine, I’ll usually masturbate and try to edge for as long as possible; when focused exclusively on masturbating, I can maintain an erection just fine. It’s keeping myself at that 60-70% erection level throughout the jelqing that is tough, and really prolongs the length of the routine.

    2) I find V-jelqs pretty difficult. When I do a normal jelq, it actually feels like I’m doing something, especially since I changed my method during week 2. With V-jelqs, however, I don’t get that same feeling. I also don’t feel like I have good finger strength, and my dick often twists in my grip so that I’m compressing the top and bottom instead of the sides. I’ve tried using my other hand to help press my fingers together, but the whole thing still feels a bit awkward.

    3) The time it takes me to get through a routine is killing me. I work long hours and usually just get around 2 hours per day to eat, shower, and relax a bit before going to bed. The 40-50 minutes it takes me to get through a routine is a significant chunk of time, and makes it hard to stay motivated, particularly when I’m not sure I’m even doing things correctly.

So, I don’t know guys. I’m wondering what I can do to improve things. Should I just stick with what I’m doing? Devote some time to kegels to see if it helps my EQ during jelqing? Are the V-jelqs important enough to continue doing? Any tips or words of encouragement some more experienced members can offer would go a long way at this point. Thanks for reading all this!

Not an experienced member, but have you tried nofap?

If you get your EQ up to the point where you don't need porn to maintain the erection level necessary for jelqing, you can watch TV while doing the exercises. That will make it feel like less of a drain on your free time.

Kegels should help as well. You can do them throughout the day, if that works better for your schedule.

I agree that kegels seem like something I really need to incorporate. Seems like they're a good idea for anyone really, just from a general sexual health perspective.

I'm going to make a concerted effort to give up the porn on my own, but it's good to know that resources like NoFap are out there if I can't manage to make it work through willpower alone.

      Cheers.

It's been almost two months since I started JP90, and despite some early struggles I'm pretty happy with how things have been turning out.

        January 25, 2020
        BPEL: 6.00"
        EG: 4.75"
        BPFL: 4.125"
        FG: 3.625"BPFL

        March 1, 2020
        BPEL: 6.25"
        EG: 4.8125"

        March 9, 2020
        BPEL: 6.3125

The first time I recorded a gain, I was kind of stunned. I'd read plenty of success stories on here, but I guess deep down I wasn't expecting this to actually work. I initially didn't believe the measurement, assuming that I had measured wrong on Jan 25 or that the difference was within some kind of margin of error. At this point I'm convinced though. Going to keep at it and see how far I can go.

A quick question on cementing: I remember reading in a few places that just sticking with your routine for an additional six weeks beyond the point that you want to "cement" is the way to keep your gains. Does that sound about right?
