  • Elemental570's Hanging Log

Hi everyone! I'm new here to the pegym. I have done a small amount of pe in the past but life became hectic and it was too difficult for me to stick to a routine. I've decided to dedicate myself to working on length through hanging. My long term targets are 8" x 6". My measurements at the start of my hanging (which began almost 2 weeks ago) are:

    BPEL: 6.65"
    EL: 6.25"

Not sure if I want to measure weekly or monthly. As of right now I'll be measuring monthly. I don't want to get frustrated measuring weekly if I'm not seeing results. I have a bib starter and the theraband for wrap. I've found that I don't like the theraband directly on the skin so I use a soft underlayer from a sweatshirt then apply the theraband.

The plan is to start at 3x20 min sets at 5lbs. I'm going to add one set a week until I reach my goal of 3 hours(9 sets) hang time. Since this is my second week I am doing 4x20mins @ 5lbs. Once I hit 6 sets I'm going to start split sessions after that (sets 1-6 in the AM, sets 7-9 in the PM). After that I will begin adding 1lb/wk until I hit fatigue within the first 2 sets. Also, I'm applying heat during the first 10 mins of the first half of my sets along with a warmup via rice sock before I begin my first set.

I made an ADS (captain's wench) which I plan on wearing throught the day when I am not hanging. I cut a thin long strip of theraband to add the tension on my captain's wench. Seems to work very well (better than rubberbands). Rubberbands don't quite have the same elasticity. I wear the ADS for 3 hours on 1 hour off. Only time it comes off for longer than an hour is when I sleep. I don't add too much tension, just enough to keep me extended so healing can occur in an extended state

Once I hit my goal of 8" EL I'm planning on shifting my focus over to girth and figuring out a maintenance routine to cement my length gains (I'll need help on what to do with maintenance). I've noticed soreness in the pelvic area around the base of my penis during this second week which I'm assuming is a good thing. Looking forward to hitting my target in the long run. I'll try to keep this log updated weekly as to how my progress is going. If anyone has any suggestions on anything I'm doing wrong advice is welcome! =)

Hanging is an advanced exercise and beginners shouldn't consider it unless they want to injure themselves. I hope that you know what you're doing (though I fear not really)!
I know, you'll tell me that you've been doing it during 2 weeks and that everything is fine so far. In fact, you might not get any injury at all and have good success. But the fact is that you're at high risk of injury and I'm not sure that it's worth it, at least not for me...

Well experience wise I guess I'd still be considered a beginner. I have about 5-6 months of total pe experience under my belt but I've also read a ton on hanging over the course of the last 2 years even when i wasn't doing any pe. As you can see with my routine I'm taking things slowly in regards to hanging. I know everyone says its not a beginner exercise but bib only did hanging when he started out and all the info he provided on hanging wasn't even around. He had to experiment as he went along. I'm taking things slowly =)
