Hi Folks! Rhino put his glorious totem pole of self-righteousness and sanctimony into the old vacuum pump for a regularly scheduled BPEL measurement today and lo and behold there was a full 3 sixteeths more of me! That makes a grand total of 11/16" added to my dick since starting PE using a modified X4 Labs extender last fall at a total of 345 hours of extending, and this is the glorious payoff. Of course, there is much more to do in the years ahead but I am beating the standard growth rate like train robber hunted by a bounty hunter. For those of you who use standard growth curves, normal research would have around 3/8" for this much time spent extending.

Received my VacExtender today and tried it out. It rolls a sheath onto the penis and uses it to allow suction at the top. Then you use it like a normal penis extender device. I had to make some longer aluminum rods to go with it but the pain level is so much less than with a noose there is no comparison. My first observation is that extender wearing is uncomfortable mostly due to the method of attachment, not the pulling on the shaft. A penis is such a slippery organ in the flaccid state that getting a grip on it to pull is kind of hard to do. Nooses work ok but after a few hours yo are ready to quit. I have a feeling this VacExtender attachment is going to drastically increase how much extending I am willing to put up with in a day.

After using the VacExtender on my X4Labs for a week it is working out pretty well. I did get a blister one day but it went away over night. I think the blister was from using too much tension on the extender so I shortened the rods a smidge to reduce tension. I also decided to shorten the sleeve per the instruction videos on the VacExtender website.

There are a number of advantages to the VacExtender over other ways of securing the penis in an extender.

      1. More comfortable than a noose by a great deal. Not perfect mind you, still need a break every 2 hours but no question it is easier on the penis than the noose method.
      2. It is possible to use more traction afforded by the greater comfort factor without feeling much pain as with the noose.
      3. No fuss with head swells any more, period. This is a big deal. Head swells also get harder to maintain as the day rolls on. Since the VacExtender works on the principle of suction a head swell is irrelevant. Saves a LOT of time I used to spend massaging my penis head before putting on the noose.
      4. All those little adjustments needed for the noose are simply not needed for the VacExtender.

      On the down side:
      1. Damn thing cost $100 and looks like it cost about $25 to make.
      2. The silicone sleeves get trash on them which sticks. Damn things are magnets for household detritus. You have to wash them daily.
      3. If you are not careful you can get a blister, but it is pretty easy to avoid it by backing off the tension and using proper application skills.

Well it is now early April and while I have ironed out a number of operational issues with the VacExtender and learned a lot about using it, I really have not seen any gains from it either. My plan at this point is to go to a thousand hours and if things are not improving by then, go back to noose extending.

Well it's late April and no good news to report. I got a nasty blister last week on the front of my glans. I do not know what brought it on precisely, it was just there after one long traction session. I think it might have been using sloppy control of the tension on the device and breaking my own rule of not using the VacExtender for more than 2 hours at a time. The blister healed in a week and it left a red splotch on my glans which I assume will eventually go away. Not a happy thing though. I have gone back to using the noose for now. I intend to get the VacExtender back out when all traces of blister are gone, and to be more careful how long and how hard I use it. I also think that too short a sleeve concentrates too much traction on the glans which is part of the problem.

After the glans blister healed I went back to using a slightly longer sleeve and that seemed to do the trick. However, after so many weeks of this I got some small blisters on my frenulum a few days ago. I think this time I was going to many hours at a time with the VacExtender, plus, pumping a bit too hard. I need to tell myself not to go more than 7 Hg on the pump even though if feels ok. Gently pumping only.

Well bad news from Rhino on my use of the VacExtender. Last week I was using the V-E under NORMAL circumstances, ie. normal tension, position, watching what I was doing, etc. and I had used the pump to warm up without over doing that either, and I STILL got the worst blistering I have ever seen using this device. There is a massive blister across the tip of my glans now and a week later it is only half way healed. My dick looks awful. There was also a smaller blister on my frenulum to go with it which has healed already.

                  1. I truly have no clue this time what brought it on. I have used the V-E successfully many many times under the same circumstances with no such results.
                  2. I have had blisters using the V-E before. I even had a nasty glans blister, which is the bad one. However, I thought it was due to over-tensioning the extender. I was wrong, it not over-tensioning this time.
                  3. I have no operating hypothesis on what is causing these blisters at this point and MUST discontinue use until an explanation and remedy is found.

Here's some of the things I believe blistering it is NOT due to:

*It ain't due to the tension on the extender. However, this could contribute to it somehow.
*It ain't due to the angle you wear the device although this could contribute I suppose.
*It ain't due to the length of the sleeve you use, although I think could contribute. I think it may affect the amount of vacuum pressure on the glans versus the shaft of the penis.
*It ain't due to the friction of the device moving around on your glans or frenulum. There simply is not enough mobility for that to happen.
*It ain't due to going too long at a time. Both blister experiences I had were during rather short sessions of less than two hours.

Some possible hypotheses on what DOES causes these nasty blisters:

*It could be due to a poor distribution of vacuum over the glans. This may be why Monkeybar recommends use of tape on the glans. The tape helps create a space between the glans and the vacuum cup. The idea is, without an adequate space in there you may develop super high-vacuum zones that can lead to blistering by giving points of origin for them. Hot zones if you will.
*It could be due to body heat. I tend to doubt this hypothesis because a penis is usually a pretty warm organ to begin with, but it is a fact that both of the terrible blister episodes I had both occurred on hot summer days. It could be that the mucous memebrane of the glans is somehow weakened by summer heat. Maybe when the skin gets above 100F it gets soft and gives in to blisters due to the force of vacuum acting on it. Do not know. Tend to doubt this one.

The upshot of all this is I MUST discontinue use of the VacExrender until further understanding is obtained somewhere. I plan to study it on ThunderPlace and see what they have to say about blistering and the VacExtender. I do need to add one more thing though: I have almost ceased making gains since I began using the VacExtender last February blisters or not. Believe me, this is not what I want to happen. I want to make gains to my penis size, and I have absolutely no preference for which device gives it to me. But I was making outstanding gains using a noose on my X4Labs before this and using the VacExtender that gain pattern has almost completely stopped. So for now I am going back to a 2 hours a day routine involving the X4 with a noose and some pumping sessions for good measure. Live and learn. The noose is uncomfortable but I used to do 4 hours and probably have time these days to do 2 hours a day. Studies show you will still make gains this way and something is better than nothing.

One other thing. I still hold out hope the VacExtender may be a viable PE device although it appears to be extremely susceptible to blistering. The current solution offered by MonkeyBar, is you keep your penis lymphatic fluid from affecting the action of the V-E by using a porous tape applied to the end of the glans. This is a fussy solution but apparently it reduces blisters.

Here is what I am going to do.

*If going back to the noose works I am going to just use the noose for a while.
*If using the noose does not work out very well, I am going to wait until the blisters are healed and then try using the VacExtender with tape.

If none of that works I am going to have a beer.

Ok the blisters are healed again. I am very leery of any more blisters now and I am doing very limited times with the VacExtender at this point. I now see why MonkeyBar says to use the fluid tape and I also think he is in denial about the fact that without 3M foam tape his product is a blister machine. If you look on his website the word "blister" hardly appears yet there is all this stuff about how to use the 3M fluid tape. It ain't for fluid folks- it's for blister prevention. The guy needs to come clean on this point.

I am at the point now I have no more patience with the VacExtender and I am going back to noose extending. Too many blisters, and I never saw any gains with it even when I could get more than 3 hours in a day. In contrast, the noose was hard work but it certainly was paying off for a while there. It may be that my glans and foreskin is softer than other mens but whatever it is, I can't keep getting blisters as I was with the VacExtender. Maybe it works better in the winter, who knows.

Smooth sailing with a noose through August. Almost 60 hours of traction done around a 50 hour a week work life. Not bad. I am going to try for 75 hours this month. I am convinced the noose is the way to go. My dick is starting to show its maximum length again of 7.69", and I bet pretty soon it is going to break 7.75". My goal is 8" this year bpel. I actually have hope of making it. I am sitting on 450 hours of traction since I began about a year ago, and at this point I am as healthy and capable of doing PE as ever.

Haven't done an update for a while since the real thing in PE takes time, but I now I have some real results to report: the first in may months of hard hard PE work. As of today, my bone-pressed erect length (BPEL) is now 7 and 7/8 inches long! This latest 1/8th inch of growth has been VERY slow in coming, many months, but PE "does work" and penis extending does work, bar none... end stop. You just have to stick with it day after day, month after month, always keeping the faith, and put in the hours, be patient, keep at it even when it seems rather hopeless, and be regular every single day. I just passed 600 hours in my PE log and although I am only doing about 3 hours plus pumping each day, there is no doubt that extenders do work and perseverance does pay off. I am not in this only for the size growth because I already have a nice enough pecker, I am in it for personal growth and development, and the desire to reach greater heights. Days like today prove that hard work pays off.

Was pumping at the high end of vacuum pressure and broke a blood vessel. First time in ten years of pumping, but I have to admit I knew in a way that it might be coming. There was this one blood vessel along the side of the frenulum that was looking a bit strained, perhaps like it had already been tearing internally, and right at the end of that is where it broke. Not a big burst just a few drops, but it was building up blood slowly in the tube during my last pumping session. I hate the sight of blood, but anyway I am going to have to let it heal for a while.

The only thing I am worried about is when it does heal, is it stronger or weaker? I like pumping to around 10 Hg which is a good bit above normal, you get more done faster, but we'll have to see what works after the recovery.
