Figure I'd start a log to keep track of growth.
Started February at 6.5 x 4.5 and have set what I feel is a reasonable and realistic goal of hitting 7 x 5 on my birthday at the beginning of August. That gives me 6 months to gain 1/2 an inch in length and girth. A 7" rod would be a pretty great present for myself. With the remaining 5 months of the year, I hope to add an additional 1/2 inch for a total gain of 1" x 1". This appears to be very do-able in 11 months, bringing me to a hopeful 7.5 x 5.5, which is only .5" x .5" away from the fabled 8 x 6. Truthfully, I would be very satisfied with 7.5 x 5.5, and having the potential to reach that goal by the end of the year is the biggest motivator I could ever hope for.
