I do not have a tremendous fat pad. I would say that it is about 1/4 of an inch at that location.

As a philosophic matter; I do not consider BPEL anything other than a 'clinical' measurement.

It helps in controlling for fat pad factor, but isnt a real life useful measure.

What is causing the issue is camera angle, dick angle, macro and a bit of loss of erection in other photos.

You'll notice that the base has a strong shadow to the left of the penis.

But this shadow becomes less clear as it goes up the shaft.

This is because the penis is lifting off from the ruler.


The Camera itself is not perpendicular to my dick, since I was looking into the viewfinder.

So these two angles interacted in a way to make the ruler length look much longer than would be the case.

This is the main reason for the discrepancy, but there are two others worth mentioning.

The photos I took are in Macro Mode - the mode used to shoot close things.

This mode puts a strange bend on objects, especially when shooting objects of varying distances.

12 Oz Red Bull cans in the US are damn nearly exactly 6 inches long.

But on this, it makes it look like it's nearly 6.5, or maybe 6.75 BP!

This is a pretty big distortion, and I'm not sure how it's happening precisely, because it is hard to tell.

--++ Max Erection vs. 'Normal' ++--

It is also true that I was at 'Max Erection' when I took the shot.

This is a very difficult erection for me to hold; it's almost like my penis "juts out" by "ejecting forward".

It's not "longer" or bigger except the base of the penis kind of protrudes forward a bit.


This only happens during sex or vigorous masturbation.

And once the "peak" is gone (not always via cuming); it goes back into the normal base position fast.

Taking a photo that's any good of this position with the camera in my hand has been very difficult.

Mitigation

I found that the "side" view is much better in terms of picture quality.

While still a technical challenge to take full hard-on shots, it should be a bit easier.

And I've recently shaved my dick to show better where it starts.

I took some shots of the width of my penis.

While there are a few jelqing sessions under my belt, I would consider this an early in the journey picture.

However, there is a bit of an issue with EQ because my dick is so tired.

1. Date on PNC Bank ATM receipt. It's written out at 081711 and the time follows.
2. The red tape measure is the same as in the first series of shots for girth.

And the reason I'm careful about verification and proper measuring is because I want to do it 'right'.

As far as I can tell; the documentation from many has been sparse.


Pictures without clear and obvious dates.

Pictures that look very much weirdly sized (thumbnail sized, etc).

NO way of trying to connect person/thing in picture to person in forum aside from claim on forum itself.


Sometimes, often in fact, you can overcome these by seeing if they're a 'real' person.

The posts, time spent on site, number of photos over time, etc, can give you a real good clue.

But these are contextual and not direct evidence.


To the limited extent possible through pseudonym digital media, I want to provide evidence.

And that is why I'm kind of anal about the measuring and verification.

Not only will I not get pissed; I am expecting, planning and welcoming this.

What I want is to provide enough evidence that a reasonable person can come to their own conclusions.

Since you seem to be measuring NBPEL I think you'd be much better off using a tape measure on the top of your dick. It cuts out any distortion as it lays directly on your dick. Your tool seems to be pretty straight too so curve is not an issue.
