  • Jb's log

Well I've been lurking around for a long time but I finally decided to join and start a progress log to help keep track of my gains.
I've been PEing for right at 9 months but I haven't had any gains in several months. I'm still experimenting and learning new things to try to find the right routine to give me the best gains. Maybe some of you guys can give some suggestions of things to try.
For christmas I've asked santa to bring me my first goal that I set which is 7x5 bp and I hope I've been good enough to get it.

    Starting Stats: March 09

    FL: 4
    BPFL: 4 3/4
    FG: 4
    EL: 5 1/4
    BPEL: 6
    EG: 4 1/2

    As of Oct 09

    FL:4 1/2
    BPFL:5
    FG:4 1/4

    EL:5 7/8
    BPEL:6 5/8

My current routine: 2 on 1 off
    15 min warmup
5 way stretches: 3 sets 30 secs each direction
Internal stretches: 5 sets 30 secs each
    A stretch: 3 sets 30 secs each
Fulcrum stretch: 3 sets 30 secs each
(10 jelqs and 3 big circles right and left between sets)

    5 min re-warmup

    (every other pe day)
    50 jelqs
clamping: 3 sets 3 min each

    (other pe days)
    150 jelqs

    warm-down

I was considering doing a routine based on the tgc theory to see if my gains increase. I've never gone by the theory because of the mixed opinions of it but why not experiment?
I also took a bpsfl measurement tonight to go along with my tgc research and to have another measurement to check for gains.

girth, no problem you can make it...length, may take more time. At least in my case, since that damn tunica is SO STUBBORN
      6/15/07: BPEL = 5.5"; EG = 4.75" (not-serious pe)
      10/22/09: BPEL = 6.2"; EG = 5.1" (began serious pe)
      12/21/09: BPEL = 6.5" (+.3); EG = 5.4" (+.3)
      6/23/10: BPEL = 6.7" (+.2); EG = 5.5" (+.1)

So according the the tgc theory the tunica is my limit. So is my routine properly proportioned to focus more on the tunica than SM?

Where can I read about the tgc theory? Didn't find anything..

Until now I haven't realized just how long it takes me to do my routine. So I've been wondering if I would miss out on any gains if I did mainly stretching one day and mainly girth the next.

What i would recommend for you is to bump up your jelqs to about 200-250 instead of 150 i currently do 600 w/ 12 uli's mixed in jelqs are BASIS of all p.e. work outs. you can even gain length just from doing jelqs i know i have anyway hope this helps ; )

Well the reason I do so few jelqs every other day is because I clamp the day before and I'm afraid I'll overwork and start going backwards. But I'm going to measure next week since its been 2 months since my last measurement and if I haven't gained I'll up the jelqs.
I haven't gained anything since May so I'm up for any suggestions. And before someone starts screaming deacon break I took a solid month off( end of oct first of nov)

I've increased my jelqing this week to see if I had any different pi's and I haven't noticed any changes. The only day I that I had a noticeable positive pi was the day after all I did was jelqing. I was running low on time so all I did was 15 min dry jelqs and 10 min v-jelqs but the next day my flaccid hang was great.

I have noticed that after I finish the stretching part of my routine I turtle quite badly. Possibly too much stretching?
Perhaps I should try cutting my stretching in half and increasing jelqing to 25 min(4-5 sec strokes)?

I decided to switch things up a bit for my routine tonight. Instead of my manual stretches I did 3, 5 minute sets of hanging with 5 lbs just to see how it felt.
I did enjoy just being able to stand there and let the weight do the work and the stretch felt ok. I may throw in a few hanging sets per week to see if it brings any new gains.
                      Thats all for now.

are you using a "repair clamp" like saiyan22 does?

No, I'm using Big Al's sock hanger for now. I didn't want to get too far into buying parts and making a device just to find out I didn't like hanging.

How's the sock hanger working out for you? Is it..you know comfortable?
I'm thinking of adding hanging to my routine in a couple of months. It seems so easy and relaxing!

The sock hanger is fairly comfortable. For me it was a pain to tie it on with a shoe string because it kept slipping off so I used 2 cable clamps instead and it held nicely.
