  • ForTheSQs Progress Thread

Hey everyone! I decided to join and make a progress thread to keep me accountable and on track. I first heard about PE a few years ago and made a measly attempt at it that only lasted about 3 weeks. I did notice some change but life got in the way and I stopped.

Anyway, I'm now starting back up (as of three days ago) and hopefully this time I can stick to it. I plan on doing JP90 to start.

    Here are my starting stats:

    BPEL - 6.75"
    NBPEL - 6.25"
    MSEG - 5"

Ultimately my goal is cemented gains of:

    NBPEL - 7"
    MSEG - 5.5"

Thanks guys and looking forward to learning (and gaining) more.

Hey, welcome to the forum! People tend to send this when welcoming new people: https://www.pegym.com/forums/beginne...cess-here.html, so I might as well; it is definitely good to read it first.

    What's your planned routine?

JP90's good; I'm on it now too. I started having some EQ problems, probably from too much edging immediately after PE sessions, so brought it down a little bit. If you notice any negative PIs you should do the same, since the JP90 is pretty intense. But of course, you'll keep us updated, so we'll see how it goes lol. Good luck with your gains!

Since we have similar starting stats and are both kind of just starting (I started in late December, although I've been looking through the forum for a long while and have read most of the really important threads), I'll probably look at your progress log regularly; mine's linked in my sig (I haven't taken any new measurements, though).

I also recommend that you start a kegel routine. A good one that you could start as a beginner (or as anything, really) is here: https://www.pegym.com/forums/prematu...asm-guide.html. It takes you through learning to DO, if you're interested. How's your EQ?

          Updated NBPEL.

Thanks for the link OnMyWayThere. I'll have to check that out when I have more time because it looks like quite the read! Right now I'm just doing kegels whenever I remember to do them but I'm a little worried I'm not doing them correctly. I guess I'll have to do a little more reading to see exactly how.

I just read through your log and looks like I will have to check yours regularly also. As for my EQ, I think it's pretty good for now. I think I'm going to add in some edging to my routine 3 times a week or so with release. For the past few months I actually have been edging but didn't even know there was a term for it haha.

Alright so I started to notice a drop in my EQ. Not sure if my workouts were too intense, if my jelq grip was too hard, or what. I still get great eq when edging but it seems I have to kegel to get it that hard, otherwise its around an 8. Also my morning wood is not as hard (maybe a 6).

I took yesterday off and will take today as a rest day as well. I read PESG's Success Thread and it gave me some great insight and how 'less is more', so I may be taking that approach for awhile. My question is...when will I know I can resume PE? When morning wood gets back to an 8 or 9?

Well I guess a two day break was all I needed. Woke up rock hard this morning . Excited to get back to pe (I hate rest days...for lifting and pe) As I said before I'm still going to take the 'less is more' approach. At least for the next couple weeks

Alright so time for an update. Today officially marks the end of my first month, and that means measurement time! Since my last update I've been doing a 2-on 1-off schedule. I've been doing a modified jp90:

15-20min warm up with a rice sock
                JP90 stretches
wet jelqs for 10-15min (maybe throw in some random v-jelqs)
edge somedays whenever I feel like it
warm down with 10 min rice sock and maybe some light stretches

I've switched from vaseline to a mixture of cocoa butter and bio oil. This bio oil is pretty great, I have to say. It definitely makes the veins pop I've noticed and I seem to stay fairly 'plump' after a workout.

I did however notice yesterday that I have some red spots (more like a VERY small blotch, barely noticeable) on the right side of my upper shaft and there was a weird discomfort when I would get hard and kegel. Like a dull ache around the area but very minor like 1/10 discomfort. So I am going to rest until that goes away. Unfortunately it came at an inopportune time because I told myself I would only measure once a month and today was measuring day, go figure. I decided to do a very light routine tonight and measure.

It seems like I gained about 1/16" all around (BPEL, NBPEL, & MSEG). Now I guess this could be due to EQ gains but because of the problem above I don't think I was at 100% EQ tonight. I will probably measure again after a couple days break or however long this ache takes to go away. I'll report back if anything changes. Overall I'm very pleased with how things are going so far.

So once again, life got in the way and I slacked off, and by slack off I mean completely stopped PE. Not that anyone is probably following the thread but I'll keep updating if only for my personal record.

I can't remember exactly how long the ache took to go away but it was much longer than expected, over two weeks I would say. This kind of killed my motivation and then other things in life got me distracted and off track.

I just started back up yesterday and will continue doing the routine above. I'm thinking about using a homemade jelq device out of canning tongs but heard that may be too intense. I'll do a search or ask in another thread some opinions on that.
