  • Best Since Day One (Progress Log of Best in the World)

With my first post, I'd like to introduce myself. The name that I have chosen to be known by here is Best in the World. It is not a matter of arrogance, but rather the name having a special significance to me. This is my progress log and you're all welcome in it.

Welcome to the gym Best in the World!

    https://www.pegym.com/forums/beginne...cess-here.html

What routine do you plan to follow? Most people start with the JP90, an intense beginner's routine: https://www.pegym.com/forums/beginne...r-routine.html. Tell us more about yourself and your goals and current stats. Good luck!

EDIT: also, good decision making a progress log; you'll find it very helpful to keep motivated and to keep track of your PE'ing.

Last night was the second night of my third week of a five on, two off routine. I didn't like my PIs immediately after or this morning, so it might be time to back off a bit, as much as I hate doing that.

After a week off, I'm going to try a lighter routine tonight and see how I respond.

Really scaled back my routine and I'm feeling much better. Soreness is there, but the negative PIs seem to have ceased.

You are right on in your decision to lighten up. Listen to your PIs and go slow as a newbie to PE.

I had lots of good advice encouraging me to take it slow, safe and steady. Consistency and care will pay off in the long run. You will avoid injuries and by focusing on you PIs you will find tremendous increase in your EQ and stamina down the road.

I like that you recognized a need to back down and did so. Many just won't even when they know they should.

I think you will do well. Welcome to the gym best in the world.

I have seen a few people that have ignored this and even I as a newbie ignored my PIs and it stopped me from gaining. Looking back now after about 5 months I have seen a nice improvement in the pace of gains because of my refocus on my PIs and making changes when needed whether it is to increase the intensity of my workout or decrease it.

Also, welcome to the gym! Seems like you are off on a good start so keep it up.

Borrowing the name, but it has a special significance to my own personal life, and not in the arrogant way that it probably comes off. Perhaps a few added inches down the road, I'll reveal the reason. I do like CM Punk as a ring performer, though.
