So, it has officially begun- my hanging journey is underway!
A few starter notes and beginning info: I found that my ligs were a big part of my problem and decided that hanging was my best option. Since I want to focus on length before girth, this seemed logical.
I made a Captains Wench to start with, which was surprisingly easy to do! After about a week off and another week of conditioning, I decided thiswas the week to start.
I read the Hanging 101 thread which gave me all the info I needed and a good base to start with. I also read Blinks tips which had some good Q&As for beginning. I had started a progress log before, but never stuck to it; this will hopefully be something that I stick with and can note some progress!
As I stated before, I began with the Captains wench and I use a rice sock for warmup. I also encorporated a cool down with one of those cold press face masks, this was suggested to promote healing with hangers- why not give it a shot!
Day 1: Starting out was weird to adjust the fit, especially finding the right wrapping procedure. Once in place, I hung 2 sets x 20mins at 2.5lbs BTC. I really like this and feel that I will want to hang more often. When doing stretches, my favorite was always the 6 o'clock stretch- I loved this feeling! I only felt the sharp stretching of the skin; I simply rubbed some lotion before each set and used my 10 minute rest period in between to recirculate blood. All in all, it was a great first day!
