  • Medics Hanging Log

So, it has officially begun- my hanging journey is underway!

A few starter notes and beginning info: I found that my ligs were a big part of my problem and decided that hanging was my best option. Since I want to focus on length before girth, this seemed logical.

I made a Captains Wench to start with, which was surprisingly easy to do! After about a week off and another week of conditioning, I decided thiswas the week to start.

I read the Hanging 101 thread which gave me all the info I needed and a good base to start with. I also read Blinks tips which had some good Q&As for beginning. I had started a progress log before, but never stuck to it; this will hopefully be something that I stick with and can note some progress!

As I stated before, I began with the Captains wench and I use a rice sock for warmup. I also encorporated a cool down with one of those cold press face masks, this was suggested to promote healing with hangers- why not give it a shot!

Day 1: Starting out was weird to adjust the fit, especially finding the right wrapping procedure. Once in place, I hung 2 sets x 20mins at 2.5lbs BTC. I really like this and feel that I will want to hang more often. When doing stretches, my favorite was always the 6 o'clock stretch- I loved this feeling! I only felt the sharp stretching of the skin; I simply rubbed some lotion before each set and used my 10 minute rest period in between to recirculate blood. All in all, it was a great first day!

Day 2: Early morning session before work, just to add some consistency. Only 1 set x 20mins @ 2.5lbs. More skin stretching, but overall not negative feelings. 2 min cool down with cold pack.

Day 3: Got through a full session 3sets x 20mins @ 2.5lbs. I lotioned my skin beforehand, which cut down on the skin stretching sensation. Cooled down with the cold pack afterwards and nothing noted in the NI department.

side note: I did notice my flaccid was consistently "full" yesterday; no shortening during the day and the same for today.

Day 4: Same routine as the last day, nothing new to report. 4 full days of hanging and everything seems to be going smoothly!

Ugh, I'm so bad at these things- and after I said I would try to keep a consistent log!

I had a week off from hanging due to the wife being home and work schedule. Came back last week and on Monday upped my weight from 2.5lbs to 3lbs. Still working 3 sets @ 20mins, going very smoothly!

Since I'm such a poor log-keeper, I will instead opt for weekly updates instead of daily entries.

Week 3: This week I increased my reps from 3-4 and have had good success on my hanging days. I'm noticing a much better flaccid hang- so hopefully it can be parlayed into erect gains!

Week 4: I've increased my sets, but have yet to increase weight. Everything is going very smoothly, and I have incorporated a SD position into my routine. I'm splitting sets between 2 BTC and 3 SD; hoping to start feeling some fatigue!

are you doing split sets?i have read that it is a good idea to hang at least 1 set before bed to un-crimp the tunica before healing during sleep.if you have to skip hanging you could always throw in a set or 2 of manual stretches.
