  • How should I go about this situation?

So clearly... my ex and I did NOT end well... on ANY terms. I still hate her very existence, but I'm moving on with my life. She's had blocked then unblocked me.. then blocked then unblocked me. So I finally blocked her permanently.

Anyhow... not 2 days later a semi-mutual friend (more hers than mine) with whom I'm still facebook friends has been contacting me about HER interest in pursuing graduate school... yet when I knew him (he's a closet-gay... ie hasn't come out to EVERYONE yet).

Anyhow... his interest is in Environmental Science... never was nutrition. HER interest was always Nutrition...

..but since blocking HER... he's been contacting me / talking to me for the FIRST time since even before nicole and me broke up....

Should I help him? I'm going to be immature and say I don't want to just b/c I believe he's doing it for her. I am in the field of metabolism / kinesiology... so I could easily point him in the right direction, but I won't help HER if he's helping her. What should I do/think/say?

    I am torn...

    THANKS.

Sounds like he is helping her.

Tell him your busy, and just blow him off by not saying anything and never returning his phone calls, messages, and avoid him.

      Easy, huh?

Or take the high road: help him and ask him to share the help with her.
Then set your sails, prime your cannons, head for deeper waters, and forget about them both.

Great advice. Always take the high road when you can, then cut your loses and move on. You'll be the better for it -- and that's a good thing!

don't blow up bridges, no matter how badly you may want to. Always take the high road, in the end you will be happier with yourself, and respected more by others.
If its not broken, break it....rethink it, rebuild it better. If you are not, your competition is.

Take the high road, but do not bend over backs trying to be nice. Just make an effort and then move on.

I say take the high road. But tread very slowly. You have to look out for yourself. There are sometimes when people who are not ready to take the high road, take it anyway. If they aren't careful about it, they end up regretting it. I was a victim of taking the high road all the times when it came with my ex and Boy, it didn't do a damn good thing to me. As tempted as I am to say don't take it, its more prudent for me to tell you to take it, but tread slowly. If the water turns vicious, just get out. Don't worry too much about other's opinion of yours as long as you don't do anything extreme or dangerous.
