Edging a couple days before sex?

I'm not sure if this is posted in the correct forum or not, but I am wondering if edging a couple days before sex beneficial? I want to build up a decent load. Leaving my dick alone and not ejaculating for 5 days does wonders, but ehat about edging and not ejaculating?
