  • Feeling Like a Scumbag

    Title says it all.

Let's make a long story in to a medium one, shall we?

Last night, went out drinking with my friends. In our giant group, there's this one girl who has had a boyfriend for a year, and from what I can tell, he seems like a nice guy (never really met him). He has a problem with me because right before they became official (or whatever, some lame shit like that, I don't know), I was drunk and hit on her pretty hard...but I didn't know that they were even together. But that was a year ago, and since then, never done it again (hit on her).

So last night we're at the bars, and she is flirting with me pretty heavily. Time goes by, and soon she is putting her arms around me, never leaving my side, blah blah blah. At first I'm like "Alright, she's hot, but she has a boyfriend, so I gotta get outta here". So I play the avoiding game for a little bit, but I keep on drinking. And there lies the problem: I kept drinking. Hour goes by, and I'm hammered as hell and standing there with her, and she's holding my hand and grabbing my shorts near my unit and just all of this other wildly inappropriate yet-kind-of-awesome-at-the-time stuff. Fortuneatly, we never kissed, and I guess I still had the mental capacity to not try to and to just get in her in a cab (and I'm pretty sure she asked the cab driver to take her to her boyfriend's house instead of her's).

Wake up this morning, and my head hurt more from cursing myself than from the hangover. I know I technically didn't have her cheat on him on last night cause we didn't kiss or anything, but holy shit, if that was my girlfriend and she was doing what we did last night with another guy, I'd want blood. I feel like a douche bag beyond belief. Her boyfriend has never done me wrong, yet I just pretty much gave him the middle finger. And since we go to a small school, I give three, maybe four days tops before he finds out.

Don't be so hard on yourself man
She doesn't know how to control herself when under that kind of state
What I do recommend though, is to try and stay away from her when it comes to those situations since it seems you have a better conscience than she does
I know this because I've been in the EXACT same situation and well I know how you feel.

The fact that you're feeling guilt over this shows that you're a good guy with good intentions and a heart in the right place. To be honest, it was her fault, not yours. Is that really the kind of girl anyone would want to be with?

That happened to me last night. Kinda.
Since my girlfriend isn't near me I'm out with my friends at a bar. Texting her the whole night. We are all talking and I can see my one friend is really cold. I'm staying mostly sober and she is shivering (although getting kinda tanked) so I gave her my coat. I'm in a t-shirt and shorts now in 40 some degree weather. On a windy night by the rivers. Fun.
Anyway, we go to leave and she is walking next to me and keeps hugging me, grabbing my arm, touching me. You know. Trying to get me to make a move. Keeps touching my hand in the car when we are driving home.
            Quite awkward.

Try your best to just get what happened out of your mind. It wasn't terrible or anything. Be thankful for that.

Thanks guys. I'll try and just forget about the night, didn't exactly do anything wrong it seems but there was a lot to learn from it...

I'm glad guys like you and the other guy who offered his jacket still exist. Good on you. Most guys would jump on the opporunity to get an "easy lay". Pathetic. On the other hand, I feel sorry for the girls with low self-esteem to act like that. I know, they're just human with female urges, but it's a dangerous game they're playing.

Don't worry man, you didn't do anything wrong. You can't control where her hands end up touching. Maybe she was hammered too?

You did nothing wrong at all. Don't even think about it! ( unless you can recite her phone number from memory)

What the hell RIB you did not do anything wrong (well maybe had to much to drink HA HA); If he is going to be pissed at anyone it should be his girl friend. You did not put your arm around her or feel her up; reading your story I believe that was her.
If anything give yourself credit that you did not do anything, you did not get into her cab.

Honestly you should probably be proud you stuck to your commitment not to take it any further. I imagine it would be hard not to with a girl working that hard.
