  • Scared as Hell

I recently posted my experience losing my virginity and now my girlfriend missed her period. I pulled out and put on a condom after I shot, and I wasn't able to get hard afterward. I'm pretty sure I didn't shoot inside of her, but now I'm panicking. It's been about a week since she was due for one, and I'm wondering what we should do? She wasn't on the pill or anything, and I feel like an idiot for not wearing the condom in beginning...

My wife missed here period by two weeks. I thought she was pregnant for sure, but she wasnt. It happens sometimes. Although precum can contain sperm it is unlikely that would do it. Was she ovulating? Get a pregnancy test.

Often stress can cause a lady's cycle to vary -- if she's worried about being pregnant, that could cause a change in the timing. Or -- she could be pregnant. Nothing you can do now will change it one way or the other, but you can both shed the anxiety of not knowing if you go get a pregnancy test kit. Most pharmacies sell them, and they are easy and private to use. Go get one!

Just relax until you know anything for sure. Like everyone above said she may be late. If she is pregnant, you'll live. You can survive a pregnancy, you can't survive HIV/AIDS. Keep it in perspective.
To me, there is no shame in PE. It's no different than when guys first began to lift weights/bodybuild and it was a fringe thing. Now it's mainstream.

Is she really regular? When I was in my 20's I was not regular, not like I am now. Get a test. They even have tests for like a day after your missed period. My BF knew I was preg before I did. I didn't believe I was until we did the test. Good luck.

                Essentially, this. ^

My wife has always been on an unusual cycle. This month, 19 days, next month, 30 days... She used to scare the crap out of me all the time.

Being late does happen and tardiness isn't necessarily tied to pregnancy. As has already been said, get a pregnancy test then you'll both know for sure. Good luck.

Thanks guys and gals for the support. She had her period! Thank God. I feel so relieved, and I can actually focus on life again lol. What's the best contraception out there, so I'm not in this position again? Should I ask her to get on the pill?

Get her in the pill or better yet, the shot. With the shot you don't have to worry about her skipping her pill, forgetting to take it, etc. Congratulations bro!

Don't be fooled !!! That's what happened to me, my son's mom missed her period and it came about to weeks later, so we thought she hasn't pregnant but obviously she was. Just go get a test to be sure.

Also if you get her on the pill or shot, remember that it takes about a month for it to kick in fully.

I would go for the shot. Pills can get forgotten. I don't take BC but I do take other medication and I have missed countless of doses.

                            I still highly recommend condoms.

Glad to hear it all turned out ok.

As a guy, the only form of birth control you can trust is a condom. With other forms of birth control, you are trusting your girl to use them properly. Sometimes that's fine (I was on the pill for many many years and never slipped up) but it's not like that for everyone. You are always better off using birth control that is under your own control.

As for your girl, she should talk with her doctor and make her own decision. I was fine with birth control pills and now have an IUD; other people prefer other options. It's a very personal decision. Be supportive, but let your lady make the decision herself. As Misty pointed out, it's important that she pick a method that works with her lifestyle, personality, and ability to remember things. If a person knows they are not good at remembering medications, then birth control pills may not be the best choice! (I could probably count on one hand the number of BC pills I forgot to take over the course of years -- but that's just me).
