Are others experiencing too extend time to orgasm?

I have noticed that over the last 3 years, I've noticed that with doing PE, it's more difficult to have an orgasm. I'm sure some has to do with age and medical, I'm 57 and have diabetes, but I'd guess that 3 out of 4 times, the wife and I have sex, I don't orgasm before we completely play out. Both of us are on the larger size so 10-15 minutes of active sex before we have to stop. My first thought is it's an effect from the edging. We generally do a lot of stimulation to start and she probably takes me to the edge several times. Then during sex, although it feels great, nothing happens. Any suggestions?

Syptoms of DE, delayed ejaculation. She brings you to the edge, do you release or hold back?

Main cause is over-masturbation, gripping too hard when masturbating/edging, and use of porn. Also low EQ.

If she brings you to the edge and you stop yourself, I'd say its only an ever so slight case of DE, if you took a few days with no release and no porn I'm sure you can cum during sex?

I'd recommend quitting any porn, making sure you use a realllly light grip when edging/jacking off, and doing a kegel routine, focused on kegels with less reverse kegels, though don't ignore them. You might be holding a slight reverse kegel during sex which prevents orgasm, I have something similar and find that kegeling regularly during sex and being aware of not reverse kegeling during sex help greatly, as does changing position.

I know from experience it can be annoying, and its a spiraling circle because once it becomes regular, you can lose the heat of the moment of sex and worry if you're going to cum, and worrying means its even harder to finish. But by the sounds of it you have a very easily treatable form and with a few small changes you'll be right as rain, don't stress or anything about it.

My wife is the one that stops. She will take me to the edge and wants to have intercourse. At that point I have a very good erection. Mainly she doesn't want to waste it. Not being 20 anymore my recovery time is too long if we are having sex at night. The only porn or masturbation is if I've gone a week or more between ejaculations. I appreciate all your suggestions and will give them a try. As you said this is a minor problem, more of a frustration than anything being on the edge the hold time then nothing.

I hate to say it but I believe it is probably a combination of age and diabetes. Age slows down circulation as does diabetes. However, diabetes also causes neuropathy, nerve damage which reduces sensitivity. What was your last A1c?

I suffer from both age and diabetes. Though we engage in penetrative sex several times a week, I usually only orgasm once every 10 days or so. I have gotten to the point that I now enjoy the trip as much as the destination.

Up to this year I have been able to keep my A1c at 5.2-5.6. That has been controlling it with diet and exercise. But this past year have been losing some control (as much from lack of good diet than anything) but last A1c was 7.4. I've just started Metformin, hoping I can get past the stomach issues and get it back under control.
