  • Is she trying to avoid me?

It's been quite awhile that i know this girl that i met online, and we roughly know each other for 6 months. We talk ALOT and never skipped a day without saying 'Hello', and throughout these months we both had a crush for each other and so started to express our feelings and emotions (yes, we talk even pretty much about sex). Things like 'You're cute' 'I really like you' 'i love you' and so on usually put me in a good mood and of course even her. I'm convinced that there's a bond between us, and i've always been optimistic that one day i would meet her.

But if there's something that puts me down and pisses me off, is when she says "You're really a good-looking guy, i'm surprised that there aren't girls that don't go after you, otherwise you would have as many as you want ..but i like you" (Had a hard time translating cause i'm italian )

Seriously, why this now? does she not realize that i said many times to her that i really like her (also she says it to me) and i badly wish to meet her? is she trying to push me away from her and telling that i should find someone else?
I never really said anything when she said that to me cause i always avoid arguments and i don't want things to get worse.

besides, i'm not even the type of guy that would want a whole bunch of girls next to me. The only girl that i would like next to me is her.

I hope i don't sound like a weirdo or too obsessive. Thoughts?

Online relationships are hard. It is easy to "mislead" people. Sometimes people exaggerate. She may not want to meet you because she has told you things that aren't true. Now she is trying to redirect your attention away from her so she won't have to admit that she exaggerated.

Where does she live? Would you have to travel far to meet her? If not, you can just suggest meeting.
    (Late 1999): 6" BPEL x 5.25" MSEG
    (Early 2001): 7" BPEL x 5.75"MSEG (mostly Hanging/Jelqing)

Goal: I have retired from PE - So my goal is just maintaining.

Why not find a real girl, you know one you can see, touch, go have coffee with. You have no idea who you're talking to on the net. Leave the house, get off the computer, and go out into the real world.
The world's still a toy if you just stay a boy!

You really need to set some rules for yourself. Simple rules like 'I will not have any feelings for anyone I meet online until I have met them in person at least a few times'Like others have said her details may be inaccurate and people are usually very different in person compared to online, think how different you are yourself.

I don't think she exaggerated to much and same thing to me honestly, and we do forgive each other for things said.
She doesn't live too far IMO, and yes i would have to travel to meet. But she has been where i live so either one of us has to do the 'move'.

I completly understand that meeting a girl in the real world is better and i'm completly sure i'm talking with this girl and not a typical asshole to waste my time. Besides, i even have her on my cell phone i would've got pranked months ago haha. I'm still hoping the best though and who knows what will happen in the future .

It's been six months already. You should have made your move to meet her already. Usually women aren't going to make the first move and if you take too long you blow your chance. She thinks you're great, but she might have friend zoned you already.

I couldn't move from place to place, my job is in the way and other personal stuff. And if i get a decent pay, i'll know how to spend on it .
Never really liked the word "friendzone", if things won't get better she'll probably forget me and i wouldn't be a friend of her since i don't know her physically.

I was kinda expecting responces to stay positive and to never let go, but i really still care for this girl and she does to me.

Id guess either she met a person in the flesh or she is no longer attracted to you in the same way. Online can be shut off as easy as its turned on.

Online relationships can be pretty tough, my only two relationships have been very long distance, from across the U.S. to another hemisphere. It can definitely be difficult to derive the tone of a message, this was definitely a problem in my second relationship. If you want to get to know her more being able to speak to her with your own voice is best, the best example would be the phone, unless you can't afford talking over countries if that happens to be the case. If you can't use the phone then another option for you is webcams and VOIP services of various websites.

But with the internet you can do everything you listed, except for touching. You can see with webcams and at the same time just have coffee.

Do you want us to tell you want you want to hear, or do you want opinions from people on the outside about what might really be going on here? You're here asking us what we think for a reason.

I was already dating my wife when texting and social media took off. When I was a teen, you didn't have cell phones. You actually had to write a girl's number on a napkin at the club. Then with cellphones you just called someone. If I were to be single today I don't know. Am I supposed to tweet her and then send her a Facebook request? I would probably still ask for her number. I might be rejected because I am out of it.

Unfortunately, you will never really know if there is a real connection if you have never met. It's hard to have feelings for a person that you have only talked to online.

Meeting someone online is not the best place to meet someone for a real relationship. When a person is online, they can say what they want you to believe, so you have no idea if they are telling the truth or not. I can tell you right now that I own my own business and have multiple vacation houses. But that doesn't mean it's true. However, you can only go by my word if it's true or not.

The best place to find a woman for a relationship is to go where you like to go and do things. If you like hiking, then look while you are on the trail, if you like sporting events, look there. If you go and do things you like to do and you find a girl there that you like, you can almost bet that she likes it as well. It's better to actually see and touch the person that you are meeting. You can usually tell if they are genuine by your feelings and their reactions to things.

Someone in my family has done the online dating thing a few times and she doesn't learn after they ask her for money or to open bank accounts up for them. She is so desperate not to be alone that she doesn't see all of the huge red flags in front of her.

You don't want to get caught up in a relationship and find out it was all a lie.
I will never apologize for being me. People should apologize for asking me to be anything else.

There is nothing wrong with meeting someone online. I met my wife online. We met on a dating site and met shortly after emailing and speaking on the phone briefly. The problem is when it stays online. Then what you really have is a friendship with the illusion of a fantasy an dating. Just like in real life if you have feelings for someone you need to make a move, you have to make a move and meet if you met them online. I met other people on the dating site and it didn't work out and others that kept dragging it out and those I pushed to the side. I spoke to them but I pushed to meet and they kept dragging it out. Wasn't going to waste time with that.
