No wonder so many women today are unhappy with their bodies and so many young guys have unrealistic ideals for future mates. We see beauties on every magazine cover without a blemish, no fat, perfect makeup....complete bullshit!

Are you guys blind? She was much closer to perfection after she was airbrushed and fancied up. I would prefer the finished product in a heartbeat. It's not realistic, but it's not like my brain would know that. I don't find it crazy that more people like it, we now have the means to creating images of human beings that fit the golden ratio more closely why wouldn't males like this more? To each his own though.

But seriously, and at least to me, perfection lies in the imperfections, the thing is, I cant tell whats attractive or repelling about someones physical appearance, all I know is that they are or are not pretty (If we're ONLY discussing looks).

Few years ago, I was attending a business meeting, and met this gorgeous lady, she was sitting exactly opposite to me, and she had that pretty angelic face and the best infectious smile I have ever seen, apparently I was not covert about it because my team mate asked me about it in a rather surprised manner, and when I mentioned her smile, his mouth dropped and just said "What! she has crooked teeth!" then he kept talking about ratios and stuff I don't recall. My answer was, "I'm not a dentist, and she doesn't need one".

That aside, you want perfection, power to you! but are YOU perfect, at least when it comes to looks.

I too agree with your last statement, to each his own, you can see artificial beauty, while I can only see real/natural beauty.

Please don't take this the wrong way, sometimes I just feel the need to talk.

Great post, I'd already seen the video. You are right, it is sad that they took an already beautiful girl and "had" to alter her so significantly to get the desired look. The freakiest alteration, in my opinion, was the part where they made her neck slightly longer. Really?

It's got to be really hard to raise girls who feel confident and comfortable in their own skin these days.
