I realize that PE itself is a bit of a pseudoscience but beyond that there is SO much nonsense peddled everywhere, including here, that it is just exhausting. It exhausts me to the point of paralysis frankly and that is why I usually avoid those threads that are filled with it.

Sometimes I look at a post and just shake my head because it is so wrong on so many levels displaying the poster's complete lack of knowledge on not only the subject at hand but how science works in general. These people are usually quite confident that they are right too such that there is no point in arguing. Frequently the posts are even well written so as to convey some kind of authority offering weight to the misinformation present in the post itself. This frustrates me, but I usually let it go because I'm not here to argue...I'd rather this be a fun place to hang out.

Then there are times when there is a thread filled with several of these...sigh... Folks, try to have your radar up and avoid being lead down the path of ridiculousness. Learn where to find good reliable information, it's out there (on the Internet even), and how to detect things that are BS. If you aren't sure of something, look it up yourself and develop the skill of finding good reliable sources of accurate information. Honestly, why do I have to deal with people citing Wikipedia, WebMD, other random Internet forums, commercial websites, yahoo answers, on and on...etc... and presenting it as bulletproof "evidence" or "science" to support their claims. Hint: real science is not published in places like this and most science is iterative, meaning that you can't get the whole picture on a subject from looking at just one study!

Just had to get that off my chest and I don't want to pick on anybody specific or start a war (hence, I posted it in my blog where many or most will never find it). Ok, back to having fun here
