  • Manopause - or andropause

As a women, instead of giving my input, I am asking for insight.

Read a lot on andropause or better known as male menopause but fondly named by women MANopause, as ZZM is a victim. He is on hormone replacement which has helped but he still suffers from other symptoms that the testosterone is not taking care of. He has hot flashes and has been having sensitivity issues much like I was going through. He will be doing something than all of a sudden he starts sweating. Arms, underarms, chest and back will be soaked within seconds. Orgasms do not seem to be as intense as with his overall sensitivity of his penis. We have been trying new things such as long tease sessions and edging.

This seems to help but was wondering if anyone has experienced this themselves?

Do the symptoms eventually subside like menopause?

If you have been through it do you have any other suggestions of things I can do to help him through?

So I'm a young man, no real experience with this subject, but do have some insight. Test treatment is a temporary fix for a long term problem. I wouldn't discontinue the treatments, but to intensify their results, I'd recommend a diet change along with a vigorous workout regiment. A body in motion stays in motion, assuming ZZM is healthy enough for exercise, he needs to lift with light cardio for about an hour to an hour and a half a day. There's a member on here averagedude48 I think his name is, he's on the exercise forum a lot. But he has a lot of insight on natural test production via physical activity. Even if he has a active job, still needs to work out, not saying power lifting, but definitely weight training, with light cardio would kick start those systems. Also diet, it took me a long time to look at food as nutrition, raw broccoli, kale, spinach and nuts suck, but you have to eat food that is good for you, not saying every meal but 2 out of 3 wouldn't hurt. Just my input, let me know if it helps.

When Pegasus comes back onsite you should ask him.

I'm sure he's spoke about it before. I remember some of the stuff but don't want to quote it incase I get it wrong.
Women were created from the rib of man to be beside him, not from his head to top him, nor from his feet to be trampled by him, but from under his arm to be protected by him, near to his heart to be loved by him.

Especially because he is doing TRT I would recommend blood tests for other items. Especially diabetes. I have a lot of similar issues. Overall metabolism changes cause a rebound effect. Diet and excersizes are valuable but I wouldnalso do overall physical and endocrine tests.

Yep, it was dog duty day in the backyard. Really gets the anxiety level up. But seriously, this may be a factor as have had some family related things going on recently.

The hot flashes and sweating. Now that I am watching for it, I am looking for some pattern. The one my wife witnessed recently was extreme. Was installing a wifi video doorbell on a customers house. Was not an easy install. Involved partially disassemble of the front door, drilling through brick, fishing wires and then putting it all back together. She came along as it was on a Saturday and she wanted to spend time together. After and hour, I put everything back together. Reattached the storm door and the final thing to do was snap in a small cover that hides the screws on the storm door. The last 6 inches of the strip would not pop back into place. Mind you I am fine up to this point. Removed the strip, tried again, no go. Finally got it in on the third attempt and began gathering my tools. It was at this point my arms glistened up and within the next 5 minutes, I soaked clean through my shirt and pants. In the car as we pulled out of the driveway, I said, "check this out" - I grabbed her hand and put it on my chest and then my legs so she could see how much I soaked them. I would have been dryer getting caught in a rain storm.

So Stress? When on the job, I can not cuss as if I was at home when I get frustrated. So maybe holding in my frustration at that simple thin strip of plastic triggered it.

Happened once last week that was memorable as I was assembling a recumbent exercise bike. The gentleman that owned the place was 5 years older than me. I had 2 last screws to install that were in awkward places. While trying to get my hands to fit, the arms started to glisten and my chest began to sweat. Just those two areas. I joked, "looks like I am getting my old man sweats" - the customer responded "been there done that". So it is a thing apparently. Mentioned it to ZZW which probably prompted her to ask this question.

              Thanks all for the responses

But things like DHEA could help along with Tribulus, these to work the same path and work well together been on both for over 7 years, start low on the DHEA 25 mg a day first thing each morning and work up I'm on 75mg with 2 Tribulus, these will boost his testosterone up his libido and energy levels. I'm now 70 works for me, does it cut sweating who knows its very hot here in Greece at the moment we sweat all day long, and night sweats I live with, so how would I know.

Though I am well into my twilight years, I probably can't be of much help because my ED results primarily From 25 years of diabetes. All I can say is that my libedo hasn't suffered significantly nor have I experienced any hot flashes or sweats; however, I can no longer generate and maintain an erection without the aid of an injection and/or a VED. Orgasms have also become few and far between.

Stress was involved in my issues . I actually think it lowered the test level . It may also have been separately involved in the symptoms.

Also tannins in red wine can start triggering these.

Thank you all for your input. We are discussing all options suggested, review suggested articles.

Wishful - I immediately turn hot from red wine and from the neck up turn red, it also triggers my migraines so I agree that this could be an issue except he prefers liqueur instead of wine.

Thanks again all for the input and if anyone else has more thoughts or suggestions they are completely welcome

Takes three glasses of Irish whisky for my face to turn red.

Good luck, if you choose to switch diet, may I recommend Paleo diet, it's eating healthy without giving up taste. Also there's a program called stronglift 5x5, it's three days a week like 30 min tops.
