  • Wait what??

So I was waiting in this long ass line today and this girl was shuffling through her phone looking at facebook...

I asked her what time it once before about 30 minutes before. then again. The second time she sparked a conversation. We had a great number of laughs and giggles... Just in good fun.

I asked her if she had Facebook and if she wanted to exchange she said "yea" and so she told me her name but we were interrupted when they called me forward. She said "we'll finish up after this line!" We went our separate ways. Until, of course, she ended up right next to me at the point in which we were standing in line. She'd got shuffled down the line to the person helping me.

"They pawned you off on someone else, eh?" she laughed and I got her name there. I said, "alright, see you around!" and turned around to walk away. I had no intention of looking her up, just wanted to see if I could get the info. She told me her info at the window...

So I walked away with her first and last name. THEN as I'm walking away I hear, "So yea, but..." and she starts up the conversation where we left off at the window O_o...

I ended up walking her to her car, and she told me she probably wouldn't be able to be found under her name. So I asked about an email. She gave me an email, I wrote it down, and said "see you around" again. she yells "BYEEE!" and I go on my way doing my "diddy bop" walk. gotta saunter away when the girlies are watching you.

anyway... here's the thing. I look up her email, and return no hits. I look up her name and return no hits, on Facebook... Why strike conversation with me TWICE when I'm trying to walk away and give me false info??

Super weird. Let me know if that's something that happens, ladies... I just don't understand why you give fake info if you actively pursue the guy

It could be that she made her profile "un-findable" and forgot.
    Starting (3/14/2011) = 5" x 4"
    Current (7/16/2013) = 5.75" x 4.125"

    Short-Term Goal = BPEL 6"
    Long-Term Goal = 7.5" x 5.5"

Bounce back, so I got the wrong email, LOL! since she's in the database at our institution, her name auto populated, so I COULD send an email to this email i have (which I know is correct) but I'm just gonna let it slide...

Either way I got the wrong email... She did warn me though, that she's got it set to non-discoverable, so I MAY have a problem finding her... I should have given her my facebook. Meh... I'll leave it be. Don't want to be a stalker.

I wasn't trying... I've already got a few girls really REALLY interested in me. One local, and it's working towards something more interesting so this would just be a complication. I wasn't really trying to make it happen, so I wasn't pursuing her that hard...

That said, I mean damn... At least give me a means to contact you... I forgot my phone in my car so I couldn't get her phone number handily (put it in my phone and call her there to give her my number) I call girls right there so they can have my number too.

I've never gotten a fake number, so it's weird to get bootleg information... especially when I wasn't even trying, LOL!I figure if you're trying and annoying sure... I was minding my own business!

BTW I have her real email now because gmail kicks ass. When a business uses it as a mail server, all people in that database auto-populate regardless if they know each other or not, so I can contact her whenever I want... deciding to not contact, is the wise thing to do, i think, but the noble and chivalrous thing to do would be to email her and let her know I wasn't able to find her (in the most non-stalkerish way possible).

I'll leave it for another day, i've got way too much sh8t to deal with.

Drop her a line, just say hello, I had a great time talking with you and leave it at that. Maybe she will reply.

I don't think she purposely gave you false information. I have more than one email account for various things: work, play, etc. With smartphones, tablets, the like nowadays, I never have to "log in" so she may have simply forgotten which email account was associated with her facebook account. I think she liked you, notice the bold above, yeah. She even told you that she may be hard to find/undiscoverable. You flustered her JB! She liked the way you worked it, no diggity, no doubt

I'd just send her a short email, saying, hi we meet ..., link your fb account if you wish, and see if she responds.

I just think she was enjoying the conversation. Didn't mean she needed to be friended on FB or anything. If you never gave her your full name or phone number during all of that I could see why she would not give you the correct info. But if this was a school related encounter the fact she gave you her full name she must have realized 1) she may see you again 2) you could easily look her up on the school directory so based on that I would send her an email saying something like "my mistake didn't write down your information correctly it seems but realized we share the same directory just wanted to say hello, enjoyed talking to you and hope to see you again!

Leave it at that. If nothing else a new person to smile and say hello to

^that's where I was too... didn't care to continue to conversation afterwards, but she "flagged" me down again so she clearly wanted to continue conversing over nothing.

either way, I'm going to just ship her a non-threatening email and give her my facebook email to look up. If she wants to know me, she'll contact, if not no skin of my back, I wasn't trying to hook up with her anyway. Don't get me wrong she was very attractive, but at the same time, I just started something with someone and I'm not looking to complicate my life even further.

Good for you - it must be a nice confidence boost!

Though I personally would make a decision early on - no reason to hurt anyone in the end, plus you run the risk of losing them both

                            Good luck!

To be quite honest, I'm still where I was before. No need to complicate matters, but it's always good to have an option. Keep contact with a secondary as a friend, who thinks I'm pretty hot/sexy/whatever until such time I'm not "single" anymore.

Not have any real direct contact... like that which can stem from having phone numbers. I don't want that direct of contact. My Facebook is for people who are close enough to to know me, personally, but not close enough to hurt me. I keep people that have that deep of a tie from seeing all of my book. those who I don't really care about can see everything because that's the only contact they'll ever really have with me. let them see what I'm doing. Don't want my close personal people knowing everything I'm doing because I want to tell them and have a real conversation about the stuff I'm doing or what I saw.

Like the girl I'm seeing now isn't on my facebook at all. That's just too much drehma. We haven't consummated yet... so in my mind, I'm not really "taken" yet. We haven't said anything about dating exclusively, and I intend to do what I do until such time there is a need to make that decision.

any girl that I intend to be "interesting" with, I'll not even entertain the idea of becoming Facebook friends. that's an instant nay-no to me. Facebook ruins relationships and I'm steadfast on that rule now. Let it off a little, in the past, but now, no... If that breaks us up, the facebook would have broken us up anyway. Life goes on.
