persistent guys

Ladies, how do you, nicely, stop a persistent guy from pursuing you. You dated said guy shortly, but he won't go away. You've told him politely and once not so politely that you wish for him to stop contacting you.

How do you stop said guy from contacting you?

Thank God I've never had this issue, but I know someone who has. They quit responding to him. If he called, they wouldn't answer(eventually blocked all known numbers he'd call from). She was near the point of getting a restraining order and all of a sudden, he quit. Sadly, we found out that he started dating this other woman and that was why he quit the harassment on the female I knew.

I feel that a guy that continues this type behavior is only gratified when the said female responds to him, whether in a nice or hateful way, so the first thing is to not say/respond in any way to him.

Hopefully, you'll get some great answers from others here some other options how to better handle the situation.
