  • Very shallow cervix

    Hello,

Me and my girlfriend had sex for the first time since she had our baby on dec. 10th. During foreplay I could feel that her cervix was more shallow than I've ever felt before with finger. About 2inches in, is this normal? This was also after about 15 min or oral sex so I don't think arousal level was the cause.

Of course arousal is mental not physical.

Fifteen minutes of oral could equal zero arousal and just the anticipation of sex could equal maximum.

It could be because of the time of her cycle. A low cervix occurs just before, during and for a while after menstruation. It's also possible that due to the birth (and breastfeeding?) her hormones simply mean she's not very fertile at the moment, or the physical trauma of the birth could have altered the inside of her vagina.

The cervix can move around. Regardless of where it is, the cervix sits on the top distal portion of the vagina, so you can still have sex and do all the stuff you usually do. For example, if her cervix is shallow, the penis will simply slide under it and go further into the vaginal canal.

A shallow cervix doesn't sound like a bad thing. I hear women find it enjoyable when the "fornix" around the cervix is massaged. Maybe your fingers can make it a magical thing for her.

A real man never hurts a woman. The woman came out of a man’s rib, not from his feet to be walked on, and not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal. Under the arm to be protected, and next to the heart to be loved. - Mrs. workin_4_it

I read the linked thread above and still run into a few snags. I have been dating my girl for over a year and the sex has been good. From the beginning, I learned she likes it very deep and gentle but found out that she has been in pain every time we have sex. She has a very shallow cervix as well and I have to eliminated 1/2 of all the fun sex positions. I get her off with oral and there is no faking with this girl. I proceed to have sex and still she needs to be eased into it. Never having rough sex with her, it's frustrating to only go 1/2 way in during doggie style. I actually feel cursed for all the times I went rough on other girls, leaving them in pain the next few days. I know ppl will say that she will get use to it but she hasn't.

I guess I'm just ranting about her shallow vagina.

The cervix during arousal will go more upward to the topside in order to protect itself during intercourse, and is painful when smacked against which can lead even to damage. It is not normal when a woman is arousal for the vaginal cavity to increase it's depth at all. I don't know who told one this but that information is incorrect.

Sometimes, the cervix may be lower than 3-4 inches after just having child birth due to temporary vaginal stretching of the walls which in time (usually 6 - 8 weeks) go back to normal. So give it time.

@tiny10 I've had this problem with my fiancee who has a retroverted uterus. She likes a full, deep feeling but jumps off the bed if I hit her cervix and it can take a day or more for her to heal. Then later she can be fearful when we have sex. She is a very horny woman but sometimes, her punani is just closed for business.

I would spend more time getting her turned on; spend a lot of time licking and playing with her rack, her neck, gradually go from tender/sweet to aggressive and then back again, etc. Start off penetration very shallow and gradually go deeper. Small shifts in position can make a big difference too. I will normally aim back toward her anus when she is on top or doggie; to the point where my dick is almost bent. If she's lying flat on her tummy then I attack her front g-spot. Aiming to the front and back seems to help avoid collisions with the cervix. She eventually gets to the point where she asks me to go deeper, harder, pull her hair, etc.
