I'm a gym rat and always will be and tried a lot of different things over those years so I think I know something..
Of course you will NEVER induce steroid like testosterone production naturally. Is physically impossible. Products who advertise steroid like results are junk. Are a scam. Except for some pro-hormones but those are just steroids with an altered molecule.

Naturally you can improve your numbers and perhaps in cases when nutrient deficiency is the cause, you can reverse testosterone to normal production.

The body makes testosterone from cholesterol. Therefore the body needs healthy consumption of fat and cholesterol plus all the minerals and vitamins. If nutrients are deficient, like for example in obese sedentary people who only eat mcdonalds and sodas every day, the liver wont be healthy enough to produce required levels of cholesterol. Therefore several hormones will be out of balance. Perhaps prolactin will be high and estrogen while total testosterone will be low. Free testosterone might be high from low SHBG, so the subject might feel "normal" libido but his dick wont work.

The endocrine system is extremely complex. There are dozens of hormones involved in the HPTA (Hypothalamic pituitary testicular axis) Injecting testosterone will fix "a few" things but certainly there will not be a healthy balance in the body. To produce testosterone you need LH (leutenizing hormone) To produce LH you need GNRH (Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone). So if you inject testosterone, you "might" not need LH because the testosterone is there already. The brain will reduce or stop production or GNRH and therefore stop production of LH. HOWEVER, GNRH is the same hormone responsible for producing TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) and therefore T3 and T4. So the circle is broken right there. And thats just an example. There are countless other hormones. Again, is very complex, not simple. Thats is why I would advise to anybody to first try holistic approach that can be guided and supervised by licensed physicians. As a last resort, TRT.

If one starts to question what kind of carbohydrates we should eat and how much, things become absolutely unclear.
You may trust this idea https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutriti...carbohydrates/ or be convinced potatoes are to be eaten by the kg.

This is exactly the kind of things for which it is extremely difficult to get a decent answer, you can find anything you want on the internet, guys who are on ketogenic diets may have a point or may not, I have no clue https://docmuscles.com/2015/04/17/wh...g-your-libido/

Some claim grains lead to inflammation and should be kept to a minimum, while others declare whole grains are pillars of human health and meals, then others assert pasta and rice are highly glycemic foods and lead to diabetes and insulin resistance..

I too had significant natural increase I was already doing weights and eating ok . I believe in my case the increase was down to stress reduction and improvement in sleep.

well you should try to find out what is causing your low testosterone/hypogonadism. 300 is considered by most, to be evidence of hypogonadism. you need to find out where the problem lines, is it: secondary (problem with your pituitary sending out signals of LH- lutenizing hormone) or is it primary (problem with the testicles producing).

did you also check your LH/FSH? if you didn't, you need to get this done. if your LH is high but testosterone levels are low, you are probably primary. if your LH is low and testosterone is low, then your problem is secondary which means gland related.

taking exogenous testosterone itself will shut down your system, maybe not permanently, though not guaranteed. there are ways to avoid it, like taking hcg with testosterone- as I do- studies show (you can google it) that taking HCG with Testosterone preserves fertility as your body maintains it's natural production.

basically you need to find out what is causing your problems and hopefully find a doctor who understands endocrinology and a little urology, as well as sexual medicine.
Life struggle with extreme erectile dysfunction since I was 15. Diagnosed with venous leak. When I turned 30-years old, I found out I had hypogonadism (low testosterone) and sub-clinical hypothyroidism. TRT can be a cure for venous leak if you are hypogonadal.

yeah, it all depends on his health and lifestyle, i suppose.

i don't believe in the natural approach myself in my case, as my problem started out at 14 or 15 and lasted by entire life. i have always watched what i ate, never smoked or drank alcohol much and always maintained fitness, until now. there are genetic disorders and tumors out there which result in both primary and secondary hypogonadism in young people. with older people, not so much.

i believe that if the op is older and the problem only recently started, there could be hope for natural changes. if someone is obese and lives an unhealthy lifestyle, I definitely would tend to believe natural changes could help. it all depends on his situation which he hasn't revealed in this thread.

i'd still recommend the op find out if the problem is secondary/primary before anything else.

positive lifestyle changes are always good, no matter what the case.. so never too early to start that.

anyhow, there isn't any guarantee to remain fertile or ever get it back. i believe most long term steroid users will turn to clomiphene to restart their pitutary axis which will re-start the lutenizing hormone signals to the testicles, which will then create testosterone naturally assuming it works. when on exongenous testosterone, even if using HCG, your LH will go down to ZERO as your brain thinks that you have enough testosterone in your body so it stops making LH.

the only way you'd know if you were fertile, would be if you were to get a sperm count test.

rippem, you talk of bloodwork but did you get a sperm test? if not, how can you be sure you are fertile, or are you claiming that you still have an LH level while on exogenous test?

You don't need to have an awful lifestyle to clearly benefit from natural ways of enhancing testosterone production. I was young and lean , ate fast foods "only" once a week and a bit of crappy sugar everyday but not a lot of it either.
Of course depending on what causes the low test levels natural methods may not work.
I think it's also reductive to only think about testosterone and hormones regarding health.

I totally agree with jackxxx about how to naturally boost testosterone and he brings up some great points about eating the right foods for testosterone and also considering how SHBG and free testosterone play a major role.

I have a website all about how to naturally boost testosterone.

I have done a post about 5 ways to boost testosterone that for the most part don't cost anything. Here is the article 5 Quick And Easy Ways to Boost Testosterone FAST and hope it might be useful
