  • Peripheral artery issues

I had a post a week or two ago, thinking my ED could be due to a PE injury.

I’m 33, started experience ED issues when I was around 30. Smoked heavily for 5 years, then switched to vaping thinking it is entirely safe. HUGE MISTAKE, I thought nicotine had no side effects, I was going through 2-3 jul pods a day, equivalent to 2-3 packs of cigs worth of nicotine, for a year and a half. Of course I’m paying the price now, with vascular problems.

I quit the habit after suffering episode of elevated blood pressure. For a week or so. Then, I contacted an ex by mistake, by hitting the wrong button. I smoked two packs of cigs that day and chugged down some beer. Two days after, periphery artery disease symptoms became clear, very cold feet and penis, while the rest of my body is really warm. My feet were painfully swollen today, veins popping, and blood pressure constantly elevated, and ringing in my ears, and calves sore and feel heavy to walk around. Now, I’m starting to believe that heavy smoking/vaping is the cause of these issues, which includes ED problems, and pelvic floor stretching won’t help much.

Does any have any experience with such symptoms and if ED is reversible in this case? Seems reading around the internet, this isn’t reversible. I will have to visit a doctor at one point. I’m not going to hide it, I feel really guilty for thinking vaping was safe and that nicotine has no bad effects, let alone how expensive those things are.

I went to a primary care doctor. He just prescribed an ED med, and when I told him about the poor blood circulation symptoms I have, he prescribed me Asprin. They did a blood test and ultrasound for my legs. I will get the results by next week. Doctor said damage to arteries is permanent. Even if I quit nicotine. I don’t know what to think about all this. I schedule an appointment with another primary care doctor tomorrow. I’ll see what he says, and maybe check with a urologist after that.

I will say, that vaping put me through the ringer also. I've been back on cigarettes for a few years now. I remember having issues with my hands. Like.. I couldn't tell temperature by touching; a cold can of soda just didn't feel cold. It was the strangest thing. A lot of the bullshit I went through while vaping heavily has reversed.

Don't believe everything that doctors say bro. I know I don't.

        Say no to vape.

Not strictly true. Whilst it's difficult to permanently reverse all damage to arteries due to high blood pressure/atherosclerosis etc, with lifestyle changes and medication where deemed necessary, arterial function can be indeed be improved and inflammation reduced.

I received my blood test results today, everything is normal, including serum testosterone which are at 536 ng/dL.

The doctor seems certain that I have vascular/blood flow issues, which I believe is correct, due to my heavy smoking/vaping in the past 7 years. This is very bad news for me. I was going through a lot of stress and depression the past 2 years. I’m not sure if this is reversible at this point, as the doctor seems to believe that it only gets worse from here.

Exercise, healthy diet, daily aspirin. Has your doctor suggested anything for treatment?

He prescribed Cialis, Aspirin, and said he would put me on cholesterol medication in the near future. I kept asking if this is reversible, and he kept hinting that it’s not. I’m talking to another doctor too, and scheduled an appointment with a urologist.

I guess that’s what I should be doing. I need to see a psychiatrist as soon as possible, I’m mentally in a really bad state. I can’t believe that I have vascular disease this young and very bad ED.

Concerning ED, I took aspirin today and cialis for the first time, and it did nothing for me, maybe because I’m really stressed out about the whole situation.

It's reversible, if you keep moving and take care of yourself.

This. I'd also question your current general Doctor, he suspects you have irreversible (which I highly doubt) vascular disease and DOESN'T refer you to a cardiologist? Pretty irresponsible of him.

Not that I'm recommending it, but what Cialis dosage did you take?

Reading on the internet confirms what the doctor is saying, that artery damage (hardening/plaque build up) is generally considered irreversible. The best you can do is not make it get worse (which I already did by vaping too much, thinking I quit smoking). I have an appointment scheduled with a urologist, but I believe that seeing a cardiologist might be a better idea, since I have peripheral artery issues besides my penis.

                            I took 5mg of Cialis.

By irreversible, does not mean it cannot be treated, but it cannot be reversed/cured.
