Hi Pegasus,
I haven't taken that further. Do you have a physiotherapist for ED that you recommend? I live in NY. Googling "ED physiotherapy exercises" to self treat myself isn't leading me with much useful results. Also not sure where to find a physiotherapist trained to handle ED near NY. Doesnt seem popular.
While I'll consider it, I'm not too sure how much it would help ED in my case, as I taught myself alot about exercise and do have a balanced exercise regimen already (that includes pelvic exercises). Still, I'm open to try it. Is it something that may take years to see results? While I tried many things over a decade, not sure I'm even willing to wait even 6 more months now. So many things I've tried where people told me to give it many more months to a year, and over a decade later, still problems.Support group for ED in young males:

Your understanding of the pelvic floor is very basic there is much you can learn,Originally posted by PeaceOfPainSeeker007 View PostHi Pegasus,

When you google New york physio you will have thousands . Out of them many will have a special interest in the pelvic floor .that will still be a large number so choose out of the ones that mention male pelvic floor

Some reason I thought physiotherapy was different from physical therapy, but just learned they are the same thing. I mainly saw urologists for ED issues, and saw back doctors and PTs for core/lower back/pelvic pain.
After I told those docs of pain near those regions, they did their MRI/CAT scans, and suggested PT. Went to 3 different PTs and stayed with them for months. While I told the docs somewhat, I didn't tell the PTs I had ED, as I wasnt sure it was connected to my pain. The docs seem more focused on the results of my exams showing varying results ranging from just L5-S1 disc herniations, to mild levoscoliosis, to mild spinal stenosis. The exercises the PTs recommended for my core/lower back/pelvic pain feel as if they help, but not significantly. It's exercises I add to my routine.
With that history, if you think I should see a physical therapy again, but this time someone I know is specialized in pelvic floor, I’ll try again and see if I notice at least some result in a month or so. I can make it clear I have ED that I think may be causing a weak pelvic floor,
I googled “New York Pelvic Floor Erectile Dysfunction” and contacted a couple of offices that I saw on the 1st and 2nd page of google. Some were far away, but I asked if they can recommend anyone close. Lets see.Support group for ED in young males:

Unfortunately, many of these PT offices sound as if they arent operating during COVID19, but I left a message for all of the offices that came up on the 1st and 2nd page of google. Now, I just wait.Support group for ED in young males:

Ok so a couple of things here I do believe a physio who has extra interest /skills in the male pelvic floor will be more helpull. You need to tell them the full range of symptoms including sexual .
Here is the thing I believe the back issue is causal to the pelvic floor issue which in turn has lead to ed . Unfortunately to a physio I am some nut on the net . So I suggest you mention the back/pelvic floor /ed theory to the physio but mentioning me might not help .
Now this case has medical issues involved and in normal times I would say stay away from self treatment such as we often help with onsite . But these are not normal times so contact Hans Twilight for some info on self treatment .

I like that you have some self-humiliation. It's funny, but the fact that you're willing to help a random stranger on the net also speaks wonders, so thanks.
I've been slowly but definitely doing my hw on researching local pelvic floor specialist for men. As virus cases are actually low in NY right now, there's a possibility they'll be willing to see me if we all have masks on or even virtually.
So far, I've contacted these pelvic floor specialists. I said that I have ED and moderate pain in the pelvic area. Sent them insurance info and asked for self-pay cost if not accepted. Just waiting to hear back, and waiting to find out if treatments will be in office or telehealth.

I googled Hans Twilight and nothing came up. If he's actually someone on this forum you suggest I PM, I have no idea where the "members list" page is to find him. I assume only use his self treatment advice if I can't get treatment from any of the PTs above in office or virtually.
I dedicated months-years to some treatments for ED that were a waste of time. I don't have that kind of patience anymore, so I'll give pelvic floor therapy a shot for about 1-2 months. If I at least see some result in that time, then that may be encouragement to continue. If no result, I'll be considering a penile implant (either Dr. Francois Eid or Dr. Andrew Kramer unless I find better options).

There's no financial incentive for me advertise those links, but I understand you never know for sure. Sorry
Found Hans T. Thought I had to find a members list here to find his name like on an another forum I'm on, but my bro just showed me all I had to do was search his name in the search bar here. Usually tech-saavy but I guess I don't know it all.
I may reach out to him, but assuming I should give priority to the PTs above if they help me in-office or thru virtual, so I don't have to self-treat at first. As I started researching deeper into pelvic floor therapists specialized for men, found 1 PT state they might be sticking fingers up my butt. Is that part of the treatment? That was new news I learned today and I guess that may be a big reason why you suggested seeing a specialist.Last edited by PeaceOfPainSeeker007; 06-21-2020, 03:03 PM.Support group for ED in young males:

Treatment will vary depending on the issue etc . In your case the effect of the back has to be taken into account,

I was considering to reach out to Dr. Lila Abbate, who seems more experienced in using pelvic floor therapy to treat men with ED. She has articles written on the topic and said she's successfully treated some men with ED thru pelvic floor therapy.
Then I ran into Dr. Liz Simons, who is experienced in pelvic floor therapy, but initial gut feeling is she sounds less experienced in using that to treat men with ED (even though she's familiar it may help). I'm currently trying to inquire more about her experience so I can make an informed decision. Even if she's less experienced, I was thinking I might go with her, only because she surprised me by saying she also offers shockwave therapy. I haven't tried shockwave (nor "red light therapy" as suggested earlier. Not sure where to buy a red light therapy for ED). I see the studies that pelvic floor therapy usually helps ED, and shockwave might. So I can go to 1 PT that offers both.
Which do you think is the better option? Any thoughts on trying shockwave, red light, or priapus shot for ED? Thanks.Last edited by PeaceOfPainSeeker007; 06-29-2020, 04:49 PM.Support group for ED in young males:

I had my 1st session with a physiotherapist yesterday with Dr. Abbate, and it was the 1st time in my life 34 yrs of life something got stuck up my butt. She gave me homework of 20 kegels a day with a 3 second squeeze. Initial reaction is my pain is 30% lower, but ED's still the same. I'm giving pelvic floor therapy and acoustic shockwave therapy about 4-6 weeks. If no improvement in the ED dept, then I'll move on an implant. If improvement, then I got you to personally thank later Pegasus. You persuaded me into trying pelvic floor therapy, and another person persuaded me into trying low cost acoustic shockwave therapy at home.Support group for ED in young males:

The appointment ended with her saying I do have a tightness problem, but also weakness. However, I explained near the end of the appointment that I don't think I squeezed properly when she asked me to squeeze with a finger up my butt. I didn't know exactly what she meant by squeeze at that time, so maybe I don't have a weakness problem. Near the end of the appointment, she cleared up that squeeze means to perform a kegel. Perhaps she'll re-evaluate that next time now that I know what squeeze clearly means.Support group for ED in young males:
