Either way, any doc in the right mind is going to recognize an out of range prolactin level like that and will have to acknowledge it is a problem!

Prolactin shouldn't be that high....he also mentioned past use of SSRI's/AntiPyschotics..both of which can change dopamine gene transcription over time and induce a persistent prolactin release - even after discontinuation.
SSRI's also cause loss of nitric oxide containing neurons....this leads to a lack of nerve function AND desire!

This is true...and too much zinc also does two things that adversely affect sexual functions.

1.) NMDA-blockade - leading to less nitric oxide.
2.) reduction in DHT...causing possible penile dysfunction.

        Everything in moderation Folks!

What's too much Zinc, then? I would guess it depends on someone's height/weight, no?

Most folks get enough zinc from a daily multivitamin and food.
The world's still a toy if you just stay a boy!

zinc is both good AND bad for libido actually, its all about balance.
too much zinc will raise prolactin, boost testosterone slightly though
google this: "Effects of zinc supplementation on sexual behavior of male rats"
I know most people are going tell me, yeah... but those are rats, Ive tried it myself, done roughly 150mg/day for 3-4 weeks, I felt more confident while on the high dose zinc, but I noticed even less interest in women than before.

It's possible to upregulate them to some degree, fasting is one, vigerous excersize, and supplements like CDP-choline along with some others.
Currently using lecithin ( source of choline ), I do feel somewhat better on it than I would without, also noticed a slight bit more empathy towards people.

I use Thorne Research 15mg tabs, once a day, together with transdermal magnesium before going bed.
From what I remember, anywhere over 50mg zinc/day leads to a far greater chance for developing prostate cancer in the future, theres links on this on google.

Because estrogen dominance can occur at higher doses due to DHT-over-inhibition. DHT is the main hormone in a man's body that protects again Estrogen-related side-effects, you lose DHT and it doesn't matter how many AI's you take..you may still end up getting Gyno etc

TS, I have elevated prolactin as well. (in addition to that my free t is low ) Dr. wants to send me to an endocrinologist and get a MRI with contrast of the pituitary gland. I think the brain MRI is being a little overly cautious, but I understand the reason behind it. Still haven't done it yet.

Your body takes the roids as test so you have to train your body to produce it again aka pct post cycle training.google it and it will go much more into detail.
Good luck snd I hope you go back to making girls nut again.
What motivates me? The fear of being average.

Prolactin is not good, but as you lower prolactin, estro goes up to ...so you almost always have to target BOTH of them to re-boot normal hormone production. Although prolactin will go down to some extent after dealing with estradiol.
Only exception here is if you have too much serotonin or are overmethylated, then you will need multiple anti-prolactin agents or one very strong one plus deal with estradiol.
