  • Back problems

Hey everybody. I just wanted to pass on some info. I have been plagued with back problems for about the last 5 years or so waking up in the morning with a stiff/sore back and headaches for awhile. About a month ago I started using just the stretching video in the P90X series and I haven't woke up with a single back or headache since. The difference was immediate and I feel incredible! I know back problems plague a whole lot of people and hope the info can help someone else.

Agreed, the key is keeping your core muscles strong....

Hey wifedominator, that's exactly some of the things this particular P90x video hits on. The guys stretches the hams from different angles with different intensities as well as the rest of the entire body.I just never realized how much good just doing some simple stretches can be for a person. We are always told to stretch but not many of us actually do it. I almost feel like a new man. Now if I can only find a way to get my hair to grow back! Hmmmmmmmmmm..........
Iwantobebig, just do an online search or P90x. It should be pretty easy to find because it seems to be fairly popular. You may have to buy the entire set of videos but I think they would be well worth it. My wife follows many of the workouts and she has lost alot of weight and is looking incredible.

i've had lower back problems for almost a decade and i'm only 25. my problems are exacerbated by working on my feet for entirely too many hours. i have to do all kind of stretches at night before i can relax enough to get to sleep. i do loads of stretches and ab exercises and its definitely the only thing that gives me relief.

I personally blew my back doingdead lifts in 1998 and the pain would come and go after that. I have always worked out but untill recently(2009) I never put the focus on the core muscle groups. Since then I have a certain weight number and when I hit it I immediately get back to the targert weight and have had a good back ever since. Also started seeing a chiroprachtor and the actuall work, wish I did that 15 years ago. Basically what I an=m trying to say is I agree with p90-x or any other method of building the core muscle groups for back pain relief, take care of your gut and the back will feel oh so much better.

Oh yeah deadlifts! God I love those but entually always hurt my back. Over the years I would always try again but always hurt myself again. I have recently sworn them off for good. Getting to old. One of these times I wouldn't just bounce back.

I feel ya, I was at a good number back in the day but after a few attempts to get back at them I realized it wasnt to be any more. I get back spasms when I try them and its not worth it, still do most everything else, I did have to work back into squats pretty slowly though. Now I will use my deadlifts of the past as a fish story for my kids,LOL

                      Yoga helps quite a lot.
Try sleeping flat on your back too. No pillows. Uncomfortable at first, but you'll wake up with less pain (after doing it for a bit).

I agree with the no pillow idea, havent used one for years, i have them, I hold them or lie next to them but I find them uncomfortable under my head when I sleep, better for the neck not to use them anyways.

The back pain occur mostly because of not taking the sleep very well.Try doing the Yoga and meditation these are so helpful in reducing the pain from the back and give complete relief.Try to sleep on the flat surface so that whole the body get stretch.

Most back problems come from just being overweight. I know when I was at 300lbs, my back always hurt. Then I started a health program where I started walking an hour a day. Lost weight, along with diet and exercise and now no more back problems... So, if your carrying xtra weight, and you have back problems... I would lose some weight!
                            smaLLer than beFore :(

For Sciatica, Leg raisers lying on your back and the upward dog yoga pose. These two exercises cured my Sciatica by pushing the offending disc back in place.
