Not necessarily. Until you get yourself diagnosed, you may likely be worrying about a disease you don't have.

As stated here- "Unless you have a legitimate reason to believe that you have a specific chronic injury please refrain from posting guesses. This type of behavior is unproductive and fosters hysteria."

I'm my time being present on these message boards (over 11 years), these types of VL claims didn't start showing up until just recently- and they were initially due to spammers/shills posting for pill companies and PE surgeons. Now there's a community-wide panic over this condition that's extremely difficult to cause using sensible PE.

These kinds of posts (which all seem to be mysteriously formatted the same way) keep popping up despite instructions to the contrary. We like to keep an open mind here at PEGym, but there are still rules that need to be followed.

If this kind of behavior continues, measures will be taken to correct these issues.

This is exactly Dr. Lin's philosophy. That Jelqing and penis enlargement exercises will cause, among other things, venous leakage and only his pills and herbs will prevent/cure this. (jP

There's also the more aggressive VL posts coming from those recommending corrective surgery from some doc in Shanghai for "only" $10K.

Because other people can walk around their house for several minutes and retain a 100% erection with no stimulation, but mine begins to subside 5 to 30 seconds after I stop stimulation. After a minute my erection while walking around with no stimulation will be at only about 60%, although manual stimulation will bring it back to 100%. Going by the accounts of other people of not having trouble maintaining erections without stimulation I definitely feel something is wrong with me. I am hoping to be able to use some of the more mild exercises from this site to help overcome the problem.
My goal here is to provide ideas and insight on methods for improving or eliminating mild erectile dysfunction.

Um, who cares? What's the point of being able to hold an erection for several minutes with no stimulation? In any kind of real sexual situation (with another human, I mean) there is always stimulation, be it mental or physical or both. What you want -- the hard-on that doesn't end even when you are taking out the trash or feeding the dog -- sounds like something fun for parade purposes but of no real significance otherwise. Sorry, but it sounds perfectly normal to me for a guy to lose an erection 5 to 30 seconds after stopping stimulation when he's alone and going solo. NOT a medical condition or "something wrong" unless you want to do penis tricks.

You are completely right batwoman. I just wish my erections didnt subside as easily as they do, and want to do everything in my power to improve my sexual function. I started a progress thread where I will be doing light jelqing twice a week along with 40 mins of edging twice a week, and taking a few of the supplements recommended on this site by kingpole and others. I have already seen a huge improvement in just the last year following this regimen on and off, so I am excited to see some results.

I am all in favor of anything that safely improves penis health, EQ, size, pleasure, etc.-- and if that's what you're in this for, more power to you. But this whole "venous leak" thing disturbs me because it is convincing a lot of guys that there is something medically wrong with them when in fact they are perfectly normal -- just aging, maybe out of shape, and with unrealistic ideas about adult male sexual abilities.

It is akin to what happens with porn: guys think they are too small to satisfy a lady because they see such huge cocks in porn flics, and forget that it is those porn stars that are well outside the normal size range. Similarly, unrealistic ideas about erections -- perhaps perpetuated and spread by pill salesmen -- seems to be convincing many perfectly normal guys that they have a "venous leak" when there is nothing medically wrong with them.
                Just something to think about.

I am guilty of this. I admit watching porn over the years made me insecure about my penis size. Especially in my teenage years I have grown more out of that mindset now. Seeing those guys with massive dicks in porn made my dick look tiny in comparison. Honestly unless you have a micropenis, an abnormally small erection (2-3 inches) your size is big enough to satisfy a woman, if you have a micropenis even then you can get surgery to enlarge it. It just blows my mind when I see guys on forums already quite big like 7 even 8 inches and yet STILL feel they need to be bigger. I mean 10 inches sounds cool in theory but I am sure a lot of women are scared to take a dick that large. It's a shame so many us guys buy into this idea that if you aren't packing you're not a "real man". Would I like a bigger penis? Yeah I don't have anything to boast about but I don't have micropenis either, I am on the very average scale in size at 5 or 5 and a half inches erect.

I'm seeing an alarming increase in porn-related issues from clients Some of them claim that they can't even achieve stimulation without watching some kind of porn, and in the worst cases, it's taken precedence over real sexual relationships. Porn is definitely something that should be used in moderation and with a very clear perspective that what you're viewing is complete fantasy.

Medical papers written by such a doctor for people who really do have venous leak can be found here:

ED-Forum.com • View forum - Publications by Dr. Geng-Long Hsu

The admin of this forum, "hardwood," previously posted on alt-penis under the name "softglans." His surgery by Dr. Hsu was so far very successful. Another guy on that forum also had surgery with him. This doctor probably does have the best technique for this surgery, with over 3000 cases performed, and a success rate between 70-90 percent.

Chances are good that most people who think the have venus leaks actually do not. If you think you do, get yourself to a specialist in erectile dysfunction immediately, and don't waste your time posting things that make people needlessly paranoid. Also, be aware that there is a small risk, and it does happen to some people. Here is one such case. This is the one that prompted the "warning to newbies" on thunders.

Here is another thread that you may want to read in its entirety to get an idea of some of the PE risks, if you are not careful. One of the posters later in this thread is "MrNilsen" who was banned on thunders for being a troll. I initially thought he was as well, but have since changed my opinion. I think he did sustain an injury.

Erection problems from PE (I think)

For someone who does have an injury, the posts by "tbirdy" are good--the guy's attitude is amazing, and he gives lots of suggestions to try, listed on the very last page.

Some of Dr. Hsu's fans can be found right here on this forum as well.

Thanks for the link. I had to contend with "softglans" on the Alt-Penis forum. My issue with him was his recommendations for this surgeon while discounting other possible methods.

Yeah, saw that when I read the thread. I didn't notice the other recommendations though, what were they? Gotta say though, if I were in his situation, I'd be getting on a plane and heading to Taiwan too. This guy has the most research, experience, and is completely open to peer review. I agree with hardwood that one day this may very well become the preferred method of treatment and reverse the American Urological Association's recommendations against its routine use.
