ok fair enough, I wasnt riled up I was just making a point tho, I find all of you on this forum are very experienced and have a wealth of knowledge and as I said in another post I have learned things from this forum that doctors have never told me because I find medicine is more now about making money than actually helping the person. I agree there are guys out there who try to discredit these forums cause I have seen some of them, but then there are guys like me who are just honestly looking for a little help and advice

That's relieving to hear. As long as you make sure that you make your training and recuperation decisions based on logic and not on anxiety, you'll do well.

        What to do

I've recentealy learned that i have a leaking vein, i went to get an ultrasound donne on my penis and as well the doctor gave me this injection that should have giving me a borner, sad to say it didn't, i've used Viagra like 5 times and it's only worked twice, now i'm using Levitra, i used it once and it worked really good. The point that i'm trying to get to is i don't wanna pop pills at the age of 19 years old, it's embrassin and expensive, i pay 72.50 for 4 tablets, which is terrible. I wanna get opperated but my eurologist does not perform the operation. Please can some one tell me if theres something i can take that can help fix it, i don't wanna go trough the rest of my life poping pills, espically that i'm not married, who want to be with a man that can't keep an errection or always has to pop pills it's sadd and i'm very thankful to have a girlfriend that puts up with it, but i'm sure evntually shes going to get fed up, so please some one answer me because like i said i don't want this problem ..

          JoeCool21,

Im sorry to hear about your condition. I want to ask you what kinda of erections do you get :

          a) With pills

          b) Without pills

if you can describe their hardness, and duration. That would be helpful. This will go a long way into sounding in any valuable advice I can give you.

Under the cautious eyes of the well-versed moderators and more experienced PE members of this forum, I suggest that you should try the following to see if it helps your situation:

              1. Warm up your penis for 10 minutes with heated rice sock or a warm mois towel: gets the blood flowing and all that.
              2. Perform light jelqs for 3-5 minutes. By light jelqs I mean a light grip on an erection level that you can achieve.
              3. Perform about 20-30 kegels (hold for no more than 1-second). Don't go overboard even if you have teh capacity
              4. Warm down for another 10 minutes.

If your penis is sore, cut down the number of jelqs and kegels. This is where you have to use your judgement.

Try doing this every alternate day.

On another note, have you considered using cock rings?

                Great advice!

                JoeCool21,

Did your doc have any particular suggestions?

You may want to look into supplements like "Butcher's Broom" and "horse Chestnut"- both are known for helping with venous issues.

I'm posting back on this thread because this is where Dr. Hsu was discussed. He's a long time researcher and surgeon in Taiwan and is also a member of the International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM). His website talks about their experimental procedure for correcting venous leaks, and includes studies that show very good success rates.

I recently had a discussion with a member of Thunder's who also experienced the "soft glans" issue. He did a lot of research on this and other PE induced injuries, and had an email correspondence with Dr. Hsu, in which he made what I thought were a few interesting comments. One was that he said people should always give the injury a good amount of time to heal on its own, up to 12 months before considering any surgical intervention. So if it appeared that certain posters were "pushing" his surgical services, he certainly does not seem to be doing so. Second was that he made a comment to the effect that PE was "theoretically sound." Not something you'll hear from a lot of urologists. However, he also said that he considered jelqing one the most potentially damaging techniques in PE and recommended using other techniques. Wish he had said which methods he favored. Just passing on what I've heard.

TechGuy. This is a very damning statement. Even though you are quoting Dr. Hsu.

Without further explanation, you don't just casually throw this type of thing out on a PE forum.
If you want to delve deeper into this and post your findings, I will not give you a bad rep point.

JonPop - I'm quite sorry that you consider this "damning" but I do not believe that ANY of my posts were casually thrown out. I gave a great deal of thought to every post I made relating to any serious topic such as injury. Dr. Hsu was discussed directly and indirectly on this thread and I am posting relevant information that I recently received. I included the full context and source of the statement, and people can draw their own conclusions based on that. If that earns me a bad rep point, that's your choice, as is deleting the post. But if bullshit scare tactics have become so out of hand that we can't post legitimate information and quotes, then I'll be just as happy being banned and not wasting any more of my time or anyone else's.

                      Regards,
                      TG

Whoa buddy, back off. All I am asking is that if you throw out a statement such as Jelqing is potentially the most damaging exercise in PE, then I am only asking you to tell us why. You don't just put a quote here and walk off from it. (jP

JonPop - I certainly didn't walk off from it, as I've posted twice since then. Are you asking me to tell you why I posted it, or why Dr. Hsu considers it to be the most damaging?

You state that Dr. Hsu has been discussed directly and indirectly on this thread. The ONLY poster to discuss Dr. Hsu, is TechGuy. Yes, I went back and read every post in this thread. Since you are so familiar with Dr. Hsu, please explain to us why he considers it to be the most damaging. (jP

I hope he tells us JP!, I am interested, and I know TechGuy has made some great posts, and has quite a good post about pumping that I might like to turn into an article later on, or at least meld it with my personal experience.

No JonPop, I was not the ONLY one. Big Al was the first to bring Hsu into the thread, but indirectly. My most recent post was VERY relevant to that. As to why he said that, I wish I had that answer myself. If I did, it might influence my decision to introduce or not introduce jelqing back into my routine.
