balancing the pelvic floor by just doing RK and K would work for a healthy pelvic floor but not in our case where our pelvic floor is already tight. unfortunately, it isn't as easy as that

A very wise post! One thing this type of bevavior can lead to is warnings, infractions and banning:

"Mean behavior detrimental to the goals of the PEGym (name-calling, bullying, playing off the insecurities of others, excessive questioning the stats/gains of other members, baiting, intentionally inciting others)"

Unfortunately venous leak is a real phenomenon, but it usually isn't the cause of the issues posted on this forum.

              • So has anyone cured their involuntary Kegels (iks) / clenching via doing Hindis and reverse kegels? And did it help with your hard flaccid symptoms?

I have no idea what a reverse kegel is. When i visited amy steins and the pt had her finger in my ass she asked me to breathe deeply and "drop my pelvic floor" and that was a reverse kegel. I did it with no problem.

Involunarty kegeling / clenching is partly if not completely a result of antetior pelvic tilt. When i started to treat myself and get flood flow back eventually erections came back i would notice that when i had a full hard on and went into the most exaggerated anterior pelvic tilit / lordosis, even tho being super hard, its almost as if your unit is being pulled in and the only connection is the shaft and the pelvic floor

                  On the flip side
When i squeeze / contract / activate my gluetes and lower abs ( anti lordosis or correct posture if you may) with a hard on the glands / head fill up on there own without that extra kegel or uneeded effort.

The interconnection of every muscle is astronomical. From experience you find it especially true after you overwork your pelvic floor.

                  • 99 what did you do to address your anterior pelvic tilt? My erections have improved by doing Kegels but I am still dealing with hard flaccid and involuntary clenching. It sucks. Is this something you can fix by improving your core and glutes/hamstrings?

Reverse kegels are what you do when you force out urine, that’s a front reverse kegel. Back reverse kegel are the motions you do when ur farting or passing stool. You hold them from anywhere from 10-30 seconds.

I dont know what your story is or how you came about your injury but if it doesnt have anything to do with trigger points i cannot really tell you much. I dont know what hard flaccid it to be honesf. I think its some fat guys excuse for erection problems.

First and foremost i deactivated every trigger point i had startting from the most proximal muscled of the pelvis and going outward.

I have video of fasciulation of muscles that were untrested and had about two years of sensitzation. I used to show to doctors and they just said some bullshit along the lines of you might have low magessium. I never could fix the APT without deactivating stubborn deep and relentless gluteus maximus trigger points.

Once deactivated, the couch stretch is great. If you have a partner the thomas stretch is incomparable. Kneeling warrior pose is another.

Strengthen your abs with supine static isometric ab contraction. Bro theres 10000000000 videos of how to fix APT. Im not getting into that.

i think someone said it like 3 yeara ago that a chair is equivalent to a gluteal death sentece. Avoid sitting at all costs.

This is quite true- especially in the case of muscle groups like the pelvic floor "basket". These muscles are all woen into each other and relatively difficult to isolate as compared to, say, the biceps.

What i did was use ischemic compression both externally and internally.

A good first step into deactivating a trigger point is to visit a massage therapist. Always ask for trestment of the outter pelvic muscles. You can get a decent 4 muscles in for your hour visit. Maybe quads and glutes or the little attachments tfl and ql. Once you have a experience and idea of physical contact of the local twitch response self care becomes immensely real.

This is what happens when you dont treat or address trigger points for years, you keep deadlifting squating and doing all sort of exercises to try to stay healthy and active all the mean while adding painful inputs to the already contracted muscle.

The reason trigger points arent addressed with any real diligence by the medical world is that there is no easy cookie cutter way to make money from it. They mske money by treating your symtpoms not by curing/ fixing you.

I dont think you can go wrong following these little bits of video proof and small scientific explanations.

Find out what works for you and get to it.

You can buy one of three books for guides to trigger points, muscle anatomy, exercises etc... i think theyre about 100 dollars each hardcover.

                            Clair Davies
                            Travell and simons
                            Simeon Niel Asher

The pelvic floor is like a basket but thats only half of it. The remainder of the pelvic musculatute extendeds to roughly the sternum. Its one whole unit or system for a lack of better words.

The pelvic musculature is like an egg.

                            • 99%, I believe not sitting is great for me too. You said it was gluteul death. This disease breeds paranoia because half of life is sitting down, like when someone says "take a seat" to be polite.

My question is when do you sit? Years of standing have ruined my psyche. I am traumatized to touch a chair. My doctor told me trying to heal is not sociopathic, he said it's the exact opposite, it's the right thing to do.

Now I am dwindling down to my final days (hopefully) of hf but I still have my nuances: scared to sit (I'm on disability right now) and delicate with showering and hygeine. I also don't like lifting heavy stuff. So this kennel has bred a lot of paranoia. But when does the pain stop so you can have no restrictions?

I'm not expecting a answer but old habits die hard. Like going to the bathroom number 2 I still use a "tabo" (Filipino ass washing bucket) instead of painfully wiping.

I'm beginning work with a cbt therapist at a local Catholic organization. And my schedule is getting lighter. But I believe you also have to listen to your body, the worst thing to the ego is a blow of relapse.
