I want to get them jobs. Then I want to teach them how to get better jobs and then before too long they will own their job.

Poverty and the belief that only one political party could ever help They must open their eyes and ears and choose people that have and will do things to help them and not keep them where they are.

I agree but I think CUSP is referring to the elected officials who lie to them promising crap, then once in power they don't do anything just to let them stay there and keep recycling votes. At the end is their responsibility though. And without going too far, we can see the "future" in the reality of south america. A large ignorant population in which the governments learn many decades ago that promising the heaven and the earth would make all those ignorant vote for you. Then once in power you screw them and do nothing just to let them stay there in their own shit. Then the people elect the opposite candidate, but he does the same. Its a never ending cycle of corruption. In South America people after one decade they forget what some guy did 10 years ago and they elect him again. Then the same happens and so on....a constant eternal mediocrity. That is the future we can expect if the idiosyncrasy of these minorities can't be changed. Thats exactly how they behave. You promise them free shit, they drink the coolaid, then you don't do shit for them. Or do something corrupt twisted like obamacare. In the eyes of an ignorant is like "OMG Obama is so good, he created universal health care for all of us. He is an angel sent from the heavens" When in reality if you know about business and informed about politics, we know obamacare is more of a scam to screw the people and allow the government to make money like if it was a business. Still, an uneducated citizen will never have the ability to see that. Same inability he has to elect the wrong representatives.

Its easy to say that when you were not raised around that type of environment, you see when a kid is raised in a hood with poverty he is taught and influenced at a very young age that selling drugs, stealing, and violence is the way to live. When you are taught that at a young age and are around friends with the same mindset as well you are not going to turn out the same as the kid who was raised with both parents in a weathly enviornment. You then can make the argument that once there older they can change and think for themselves but you dont realize that it could already be to late for that. Thats why you see these kids who grow up in the hood stay in the hood, with whoever they grew up around, doing the same crimes they did when they were younger either ending up dead or in jail. That is how the cycle goes, but look everyone does have a chance at changing there life its just not as easy as what your saying because you dont know how the mindset of a kid will be after growing up his whole teenage life around all that compared to not being around violence and drugs when you are kid.

They're a manifestation of the increasing civil unrest that we face as this two party dichotomy of a political system curtails both personal ans economic freedoms in exchange for security. As such, police were given more power and weapons beginning with the war on drugs to prosecute americans. This power and militarization only increased after 9/11 in order to "protect the homeland".

Communities who've traditionally had less power were the first to feel the brunt of this (Ferguson), but now this power is impacting "mainstream america", as such there more anger as less politically and economically disenfranchised groups are being targeted groups are being impacted.

As such, it's just one of many symptoms that is being manifested by the masses as the political class expand and increase the power of their security appratus.

Just witnessed the most IMHO disgusting display by the Democratic National Convention lead by the Mother of the infamous "Michael "Hands Up Don't Shoot" Brown". The DNC parades out mothers of Blacks shot by Police.

Maybe they ought to bring out on stage all the Mother's, Father’s, Wife’s, Husband’s and Children of the Police Officers that been killed by the these Black Thugs.

RIP Michael Brown! But you were going to Die a Violent Death sooner or later at the Hands of the Gang Banger’s you hung out with or the Police. Or better yet by a 12 Gauge at the hands of the store owner that you robbed.

12:01 p.m. – The officer encounters Michael Brown and a friend as they walk down a street. Brown is shot to death as a result of the encounter.
