  • Ancient Art with Small Flaccids

Has anybody else noticed that in ancient, and possibly modern, art that the men always have really small flaccids? I find that paintings and statues of women tend to be a little more... generous.

Art is merely a reflection of the era in which it is created, IMO. For every Michaelangelo's "David" depicting a male with a small flaccid penis, there are primitive cave drawings and illustrations from Greek mythology depicting males with a huge phallus. Just as overweight (fat) people both male & female were regarded as "wealthy", because they could afford the expense of gluttony in the Victorian era, those higher-society illustrations of the privileged classes were always over-weight by today's standards; but "envied" none the less.

        That's an interesting insight.

Yeah, I wonder why though. If I were being sculpted back then I'd probably slip the guy a couple bucks and tell him to add a few inches, haha.

A large penis was regarded as showing a lower animal side .

Correct. A small penis would be associated with a greater intellect.

Giving a figure an outsized penis would direct the focus to the penis and not the art itself.
