    100% of the blocks tested so far have failed the fire safety test.

    So shouldn't we be testing all the blocks and why aren't private landlords being forced to fire-test their tower block cladding?

        I don't know Cusp but it's a bloody disgrace and the current testing/re-homing appears to be a shambles.

        We need so regs where private and council tenants are protected better.

            I believe they were built in the 1970's. We have building inspectors now and surely back then but I don't know what the standards would of been.

            Mind no one checked properly the 'improvements' the councils have been making to these buildings.

              Of course they do. Just like ours do. How many tenement fires have we had that show these same defaults? We don't do any better than they do. Our houses and buildings burnbdown left and right also. This is just the strategy du juor. Now will comenthe screams from developers of how regulations cause prices to go up. There is nothing the developers can do. Poor developers.

                    The cladding is being tested to a higher standard than that required by the building regulations, that's why they are all failing.

                    As far as the Camden residents are concerned, I don't know why the council haven't just ripped off the cladding instead of spending over £500,000+ just on hotel rooms alone and making many homeless.

                        I know - rather poor taste and they are a bit of a twat to suggest it.

                        I can't find the story online so I'm thinking it may of been in the daily mail which probably means it was lies.

                          Up North they aren't removing them from their homes, just pulling the cladding off as quick as possible.

                            Exactly! If Camden council threw £500,000 at removing the cladding it would have been done by now.

                            That leader of Camden council needs to be fired! She's caused chaos to the people living there and is costing the tax payers a fortune.

                              You cant bulldoze a tower down, you either blow it up in a controlled way, or you do it like the japs do and take it down floor at a time its all done or a sliding cages that goes right round the tower, comes down at the rate of a floor a day, all the waste comes down a controlled shute, quite a good way to do it.
