Penis spasms after ejaculation

I don't really know how to call it, maybe you guys know? Basically right after ejaculation the penis becomes hypersensitive to prevent further sexual stimulation.
But if you keep stimulating it, it starts to contract or kegel by itself I guess ? Do you know what it is and why it does this ? I find it interesting and would like some physiological explanation
Is the penis trying to 'escape' the stimulation ?

I did some research on google but couldn't find anything talking about those post-ejaculatory spasms, just general info about the refractory period

What you're describing sounds like "turteling" as we call it around here. Many guys turtle during refraction, it's fairly common. Hypersensitivity, burning sensations and the like usually subside pretty quickly, and some guys (like me) don't experience them at all (anymore). I had them when I was younger, masturbating as a teen, but once I started having sex regularly I think my penis become less sensitive (my frenulum in particular), and they went away, never to return. We're ALL different of course, but the more sex / stimulation you experience over time, the less tendency to turtle during refraction, IMO.

I believe the "spasms" are part of the orgasim process. Not aware of the actuL cause, but enjoyed them in my younger years. I haven't experienced any in a number of years.
