  • Anyone on here ever died or came close to dying?

I’ve been reading a lot about near death experiences and what these individuals that have experienced it have to say about it. There’s seems to be a large amount of people reporting these experiences peaceful. Not really like seeing god or a bright light or anything but just a sense of peace. Now this could be our brains playing tricks on us but at least it seems like death isent a terrible thing. Although the moments leading up to it might of been.

This all seems like good news to me. I’ve always been terrible afraid of death and couldn’t bear the thought of there not being a heaven. But the one thing that has helped me is i think to myself what’s the one thing that’s worse than entirnal sleep? Being myself for eternity is far worse than that. That’s a true nightmare. In a way I thank god i won’t be associated with myself and who I am forever.
Now if I was 6 foot 5 and a NFL QB I would be scared shitless to die. In a way to me it’s a blessing in disguise

But anyone on here ever experience a near death experience and what was it like?

Yeah I've had three near death moments.

When I was born I was only 4 pounds. This was back in 1980 so hospitals weren't as ready for little babies as they are now.

Second time was in my mind twenties. I was in a six car pile up after a lorry was speeding during rush hour traffic. They had to cut me out the car, thankfully I was the 5th otherwise I would of been mostly killed outright. I'll upload the pictures of my car in the morning. I've lost the day of the crash from my memory.

Thirdly was in April this year. After the birth of my son they couldn't stop me bleeding out for 2 and half hours. I was keep losing consciousness but felt really calm and ready to die. I didn't think I would feel like that, I thought I would fight or panic but I remember looking at my husband holding our new born son and thinking my job is done. My two sons will be ok with my husband when I'm gone. I think it must be some chemical the brain releases so you can cope with it.
Women were created from the rib of man to be beside him, not from his head to top him, nor from his feet to be trampled by him, but from under his arm to be protected by him, near to his heart to be loved by him.

Yes, thinking of it now. I'm scared of the unknown, of the pain (if there is any), leaving my son's behind.

But in that hospital room, without pain relief as they had been prepping me for c section when he came fast and started bleeding out, I wasn't scared one little bit.

While nothing that I can remember I have heard the story from my dad. That story was my mom holding a knife to my throat as an infant. I asked him not to give specifics and I have no reason to think he was lying, plus with how sick my mom was it's not out of the realm of possibility. I guess I could consider that coming close to dying.

Multiple Sclerosis, although she had a myriad of other things for a majority of her life.

I've had many close calls but never had a near death experience until I broke my back in 08. Though I cant really say it was a near death experierience. When they were putting the titanium cage in my back I died, like clinically dead for almost 3 minutes. I can't say for sure if it was a near death experience or not. It could simply have been a memory from when they were putting me under before surgery. But I remember everything being dark and having this very calm and comforted warm feeling wash over me. Next thing I remember is waking up in recovery and seeing my daughters and wife crying (my son's were too young at the time to be back there).

Took a shit load or cocaine in a Spanish club/brothel and it was way stronger than what I’d used and definitely felt like my heart was gonna explode for about 20mins.

After which I got the horniest feeling ever and ended up wishing the coke had finished me off once I saw my credit card statement

I once had a 800kg nut sack that almost crushed me. It was being lifted by a crane and the hoist broke and dropped it inches from me. Literally shook the floor. I really reevaluated my life that day... TRUE STORY

800 kg nut sack!?? You have got to stop messin’ around with Jock.

                        Sorry. Glad you’re ok.
A prayer, is kinda the same as a "Like". If there are enough likes, God will take notice. So "Like" away please. My daughter needs your prayers. Thank You.

I got run over by a Petroleum Tanker truck, in eastern Turkey, while on a motorcycle. Regained consciousness about a month later; about 7000 mi east of the accident. Don't recall much of anything, glad I didn't bleed out by the side of the road; my left arm had been tore off.

That was 45 years ago. Some situations, the only path forward is the only one there.
No, I don't talk about it much, just don't care to.
