No one claimed this. As far as I know pharmaceutical companies are not non-profit organizations. So their main purpose is simply to make money.

I of course can't speak to anyone I have never met. I can speak to costs of prescriptions and doctor visits. I average 400 USD for 10 minutes with my doctors. That is 2400 USD per hour. For me that is unjustifiable high. Whores don't charge even close to that amount.

My prescriptions cost 800 USD per month. Often I don't take all of them because i simply don't have the money. Then I get severely I'll and can't work enough etc. The same exact medications cost less than one tenth in Cananda. Why does Canandian medicine cost less than USA medicine? Is it a wrong conclusion that the American version of big pharma is acting whorish?

Here give this a try; get your hands on a medical supply book. You know the stuff that doctors offices need like gauze, swabs etc. There is a drug section in there as well. I found a medicine that I used when my kids got eat infections hat was $38 if you were a doctor and brought from them and yet that same bottle at the pharmacy I paid $265. I guess the extra money I paid for that med went to the motor oil and potato chips the pharmacy wan't making a big enough profit on. Funny the pharmacies around here won't sell anythingthat's bad for you like cigarettes but they'll sell you all the junk food you can eat.

I do believe that US healthcare is the best in the world. We pay premium price to see a concert, go to a sport event,get a fancy car but somehow we don't like o pay for healthcare.

Yup! As I walk into an office with 10 grand in earrings and then I complain about price. Funny you never hear much complaining about a boob job or a tummy tuck or a dick lengthening procedure because insurance doesn't cover that. We'll pay because we want it.

My brother, a cardiologist, pays in excess of $125,000.00 per year for malpractice insurance. He starts each month with an income of negative $10,000.00. Is it any wonder that it cost so much for an office visit? While he saves lives everyday, he can't save everyone who has abused their bodies for years. Yet a number of them will sue when things go wrong. This has happened to him, where a guy named him in a wrongful lawsuit and he was quite bitter in the end. I remember him saying "that guy is alive today because of me, and he dragged me through the courts because I happened to be part of his team that kept him alive".

I have spoken to my pharmacy about prices. They have no control over them, they are told by others what the negotiated price is and that is what is charged. They plug numbers into the system and it spits back a cost. If anything complain both to the insurance company or to the leaders of your company who set up the offerings you can choose from each year. My wife, a teacher recently changed school districts and accepted position with another county. She was concerned because the salary was less. Yet, with the same exact health insurance as we had, her take home pay actually increased. Seems the same insurance plan was substantially less per month in her new position.

Actually in the US doc tend to overtreat . The US longevity is very meh. You have to be rich to afford care .

It has a poor rep amongst people traveling to the US who try and get medical work done at home if possible .

I understand the US likes to flag wave in all things but it's medical system is not well regarded internationally .
If you guys are happy with it fair enough .
