Personally, I could devour a whole bag of potato chips without breaking a sweat. Add a dip and I am done for. Probably why you rarely see these things in my house.

      Oilves, dill pickles, gerkins, jalapenos

      I have them daily.

A woman after Danglers heart. He is the pickling master here. PM him and he may divulge is super secret pickle recipe. I have it on loan and can tell you his pickles are super easy to make, take relatively few ingredients and in 3 days, you will be munching on some heaven you didn't know existed. Homemade is better than store bought any day.

Cornish Pasties, but have to be brought there, walk down any main street in Cornwall any time of the day and you will smell them cooking, you can eat them hot or cold, certain shops sell the best, and we each have our own.

Home made pickled onions with a cheese sandwich, but has to be cheddar, or black olive paste go's very well with a CC sandwich.

I do a cheat tzatziki, pronounced sat-sekey, that goes with anything, its a yogurt based side dish which I just leave out the cucumber, so yogurt in a round dish, garlic chopped very fine, some olive oil, lemon good squeeze, black pepper, oregano, and parsley, and just mix, best served with black olives on top, and yes its a Greek dish, you may need to make it a couple of times till you get it right.

My mums roast beef Sunday dinner, somehow its the one thing I miss most from my home that was in East London.

Must go getting tears in my eyes.

I have the recipe...I would need Dangler's permission to give it though.

Tara your just going to have to bow down to tradition, and ask for the sacred recipe, and do bow when he sends it to you that's if he does.

                    Cornish pasties are DELISH!!

And, you're missing one key ingredient to that tzatziki (besides the cucumber)... mint. Just a little to brighten it up. Don't overdo it. Trust me on this one. I know I'm an American, but my recipe came from a super-nice lady that owned a little restaurant in Psinthos. As I mentioned before, we were in Rhodes during off-season - so we were the only tourists there LOL. We're exploring the island and end stopping at her place for lunch. We start chatting about how delicious her food was - which it was AMAZING!! And, I asked her what was in tzatziki (since I had never had it before coming to Greece). She tells me. I start telling her how I'm going to have to buy some recipe books on Greek food, because I was in love with souvlaki and baklava - and in AZ (where we lived at the time) there were no Greek restaurants (I'm sure there were - but I didn't know of any).

She then says come inside (we were sitting on the patio) - and she gives me a pen and a piece of paper and tells me to "Write this down" - and proceeds to tell me how to make tzatziki. Then she asks, "Do you want to see how to make the baklava? It will take a little time." I say, "Yes, please!" And, I spend the next couple of hours helping her make four trays of baklava - while MrKimberly sat in the Grecian sun enjoying more than his share of ouzo. :-)

What an awesome story Kimberly! Being a bit of a cook myself, I would have drank up that lesson on baklava and begged for more. About the only TV I watch now a days is the food network. Could waste the day away watching others create wonderful dishes.

There are so many foods...almost any meat. I know I have to eat meat moderately, but once you slap that beef on the grill, I'm sold.

Yeah, it was one of the highlights of that trip. And I get to remember every time I use those recipes.

Do you like to bake? If so - and if you have Netflix - watch Great British Bake Off. My fav!!
