Older socks

Not to disparage anyone that is young, since I have the greatest respect for our Marines, Sailors, Airman and Soldiers now serving and protecting our country, but gee you folks are young.

I really do have a pair of socks older than most of you. Moved back to New York (Catskill Region) in 1974, and that winter with my son took up skiing. For me it was reconnecting with my youth, with my son it was a new sport. Incidentally. he took to skiing as a duck to water. To complement this my wife knitted me a pair of long wool green ski socks. I wore them several times, and then put them away to serve as a memento. Still have them folded up in my dresser, of course now here in Tennessee skiing is not feasible.

The socks are 35 years old, and in fine shape, how are you?

That's interesting, frb. It was around that time, 1974, that I took up swimming again, which I had given up since my college days. I have been lap swimming, 3-5 miles a week, ever since. My goal is to keep at it until I'm at least 100. Ha, ha. That goes for p.e. too.
