It is really only used by homophobic people which are normally not truly secure enough in their own sexuality and are afraid that they may actually be gay, and even if they were, there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. I had a gay neighbor where i used to live and we hung out a lot. Trust me, if you're not gay, they already know it and will leave you alone and will not take a simple compliment, as mentioned above, as anything but a simple compliment. Those are usually also the same people who think strippers want them when they're just acting like they do to get that cash...

YOLO DO NO DROGO HO MOFO SO DO NONO SO HOMO

Also, no yoko ono go pogo blow frodo.

But in all seriousness, even if I hate all this silly internet culture rhetoric, I don't see how it is so significant that it warrants a thread.

People use shitty terms all the time. As long as you are clear and not speaking like a complete and utter dolt, I don't see the issue. There are invisible lines in linguistic integrity, and crossing those lines are actually punishable based on the rules of this site. As Toadstool displays with humour, these terms may sound immature, but they are not that big a deal. Choose how you want people to view you on the net.

It is an internet-slang, meant to be funny. I guess it`s silly, and a little bit offensive, but don`t put to much meaning into it.

If we do see the "no homo" comment, the member usually receives a message from us. and the no homo comment is usually removed(by us or by the original poster) There is no need for it, often the person who posts it, isn't doing it with venom and don't realize the negative that it is or the energy it generates.. I view it as fear speaking, because they are in a community of men sharing their dicks and not being completely secure with the topic of their question or its an add on like a nervous joke.

If you do see a no homo comment, you can report it and we will sort it out.

Is this something that should be in the Manly Arts thread?

I'd love to hear a gay guy complement a woman on her dress or something and follow it with "no hetero".

In most cases it is meant with good nature, as Tink said we just usualy PM them and the member usually apologizes and removes it. I can only think of one guy that did it a few times and I cant remember his name or if he is even still here.

Anytime someone says 'no homo' to me, I always say, 'but I want homo!' Mostly a way to mess around with them. I can't stand it when people say that. Not that it offends me, but my friends I have always enjoyed saying.... I don't know how to say this without sounding like a homophobe... well, I guess we would hit on one another in a very vulgar, descriptive way. All in good fun, nobody would actually care if someone is actually gay, but acting that way was always good for a laugh or two.

Yes, I myself got scolded for using the classic "no homo". Not out of insecurity; I said something very homosexual, and then used the term. Ironic humor.
