Now, in the '60's, there were only two other cars made in America that had positraction, and independent rear suspension, and enough power to make these marks. One was the Corvette, which could never be confused with the Buick Skylark. The other had the same body length, height, width, weight, wheel base, and wheel track as the '64 Skylark, and that was the 1963 Pontiac Tempest.Vinny Gambini: And because both cars were made by GM, were both cars available in metallic mint green paint?
      Mona Lisa Vito: They were!
Vinny Gambini: Thank you, Ms. Vito.

'81 Buick Regal Sport Coupe, it was technically MrL4M but it was mine. I loved that car! Prior to that I had a 68 Chevy Nova. Nice cars I miss them both.

No, but the current Boss 302 is a step in the right direction i think. And the entire mustang line up will be redone for the 50th anniversary with IRS i heard.

The original GTO did handle well.Phallic, with that kit on i amn't surprised if you needed a set of tires every mile!!

            Any Plymouth owners...?

You said it brother! I see the fancy so called muscle cars today and I just can't help but think, these cars won't be around in 10 years. They are nothing but aluminum and plastic. I work in the garage at the Sheriff's dept and we have a few new Camaros, Challengers, and a lot of Chargers. They just seem like such junk compared to the cars of my youth. They are fast, but thats about it. Kinda funny when they are designing all the news cars to look like the ones we had when we were younger. Can't they come up with something original yet still as cool as the old ones?

Yeh - my current ride is one of those 'plastic and alum' Chargers (08). I love it but I do know what you mean - auto manufacturers these days are always looking for lighter and faster instead of long lasting and durability. I've owned the aforemenationed Montego, a 77 Lincoln Continental and a 75 LTD - all pure, 100% bona fide STEEL! You could throw a baseball at one of those things and not even make a tiny dent. Do that to my Charger today, and I'm whipping out a grand to get it fixed! I do love my car and while it may look and sound mean, in a lot of ways it's as fragile as glass.

I also have a friend who is restoring a 1970 AMC Javalin AMX 401.

If you really want to get nostalgic, how about a 1959 Studabaker supercharged Golden Hawk.

I would love to own one now too...LOL

I bought the car used back in the eighties for $2500.00, dumped thousands into the thing then sold it to a buddy for $2500.00. He still has it today in basically the same condition and has been offered $48,000.00 US for it.

Whats that expression about hindsight...LOL...oh well, but I do think its only fair that he now sell it back to me for $2500.00.
