Who is into Star Wars?

I really liked the Star Wars movies (the old ones) when I was a kid. But what is my strongest memory is how the father of a friend of mine let him get one new Star Wars plastic figure every Saturday. The figures were made of plastic and were approximately three inches tall. And each had the price of approximately $ 13 each. This was back in 1983-1984, so think inflation. I remember thinking that the father didn't teach my friend the value of money...

It was really cool to see some of the actors and voice actors in the parade. This year they had Ray Parks (Darth Maul), Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) in the parade. Also some voice actors such as Tom Kane(Yoda), and James Arnold Taylor and Ashley Eckstein who do voices in the Clone Wars.

I can just imagine how thin Daniels had to get for the movie. Those actors sure do extreme things to play their parts.

And they're still getting big money for their stuff. Most if it is just cheap plastic junk. There was some really nice paintings there but the one's I liked were around $500 a piece. We did buy a t-shirt and name tag for each of us. They both got a lot of looks from everyone, especially when we wore them in the other parks. The name tags have our names spelled out in the Star Wars symbols and the t-shirts are reserved for only yearly passholders. We would hear people in the other parks saying to each other "What's with all the Star Wars stuff people are wearing?".
