being against religion i am against islam as much as i am christianity, i believe these violent people are spurred on by their faith and not enough is done to combat this from within the muslim community. I would treat them the same as i would a stereotypical southern US extreme christian movement

I agree. I think the most ethical solution would be one that begins from within the Muslim community, but I don't think they'll actually do anything about it.
