Interesting thread for a PE forum but I will chime in only because I voluntarily gave up porn a while back to see if some things I read were true regarding positive effects. I haven't gone back since and I will tell you my top 5 positives I have found.

    1) Your libido goes way up: Porn dulls your senses to real sex and if you are constantly waking it to porn your releasing all your juju all the time and tend to be sluggish.

    2) Porn is not real: It screws with your sense of reality and is mentally unhealthy for you. Your whole outlook on women and sex changes form watching porn.

    3) You will have a stronger desire to meet new women or spend time with your lady. When you aren't filling your time and sexual energy on porn you will have a stronger drive toward the real thing. I read it takes about 90 days of no porn to see the real effects and I would agree.

    4) Real Sex is way better! Porn desensitizes you. It can also cause you to get into to some really kinky stuff just to get off. Its like a drug and you need more and more (not everyone but some). suddenly you find yourself getting laid in real life and an event that should be totally awesome is just so so because your not getting the same extreme affect that you get from that perfect porn clip you are always searching for. Once you are weened off of it you will be so much more excited when it comes down to the real things. This is still true for me to this day. Huge improvement.

    5) You will be more productive and creative. I find without porn when you want to yank one out you use your imagination and focus on the end goal and move on with your day. You don't spend endless time browsing for the perfect clip or money shot to get you off.

Hope that helps. I am not at all saying porn is bad or telling anyone to quit. It was just my personal preference. I tried it out and liked the results so I stuck with it. I have nothing against it or anyone that watches it. To each his own. Maybe set a timeline for 30 or 60 days (90 if you can) and see how you feel after that and go from there. Thats what I did. Best of luck no matter what you choose.

      1) Reduce the potential to develop PIED (PORN Induced ED).
      2) Improve your EQ using your imagination while edging.
      3) Improve your social skills by actively substituting social interaction with real people instead of watching PORN.
      4) Alleviate anxiety and/or guilt associated with PORN addiction.
      5) Build physical stamina to improve your sex life by working out in the people gym, biking, playing a new sport, or even spending extra time on your PE routine.

Giving your life better balance and enhancing your imagination without the crutch PORN offers will improve you both mentally & physically, as well as motivate you to engage socially.

      READY TO QUIT NOW?

I want to jack off now, but I am going to find a large list of websites to block through my hosts file and delete those videos now.

I know some people certainly do become addicted to porn, like anything else, and always want to be seeing/using it, but I don't think most people replace their socializing with porn, as most porn use is usually used when social life dies down during the day or when you are not doing much of anything else anyways. Is that honestly a worry for most people? Is cutting out porn going to improve your social life when you look at it at 2 a.m.? Not much socializing going on then for most.

I only really masturbate when nobody is around, or its night time. Never have I masturbated instead of doing something with someone.

Ive been looking at porn for 25 years. More so after the Internet. I have not felt any ill effects from it. Its just a visual when jerking off, nothing more. I date very attractive women and I don't fuck like they do in porn or think it's real life. I think it becomes a problem when you think you have a small dick or think women want certain things based on what you see in porn. Its only a problem if you think it's a problem. So your decision is on you. But I do get how it could become a problem.
                    Start 3.16.15 - 7bpel, 6bpel, 5meg

                    Current 1.19.16 - 7.85bpel, 6.6nbpel, 5.3meg

                    Goal 1.19.17 - 8.5bpel, 7.5nbpel, 5.75meg

See, if you already have a good social life with women, I don't see a problem with it. For someone like me at 18, with no social life with girls, going on nofap will be a good option for me.

I have had zero social life with girls and porn doesn't impact me either. I find porn is fine as long as you don't get crazy about it, realize almost all of it is fake in some way and just use it to get off in the end.

Do you think that maybe the porn just gives you another reason to not try/care about women?

I guess now that I realize it, PE is useless if you aren't trying to meet women/ or whomever you're attracted to. Cause if nobody is going to look at it, and you only use it for porn, then increasing your size IMO is not necessary.

Hey please don't take my last post personally. I was more of typing my mind to myself as I was writing there. Nothing against what you are doing at all. I should have wrote that as a seperate post as motivation for myself.
