Hopefully he'll learn that running a country ain't the same as running a business and he can't always have his own way.
He'll have to learn the meaning of the word "NO".
The polls over here are consistently showing that there are more people on the "Yes" side of the ban than the "No" side.
I find it interesting, and a bit scary, that a single federal judge assigned to a district in the state of Washington State can block an order that affects the whole country. I guess our government has been rendered useless. We'll just let the district judges run the country now.

Seems to me the problem was that it was poorly implemented and not thought through properly before being issued.
It's estimated that 60,000 people had their visas cancelled, one of which was an infant coming to the US for an operation on a heart defect. Another was the wife of a doctor who works in the US, she wasn't allowed to join him.
One man doesn't make a government. If Trump wants to implement controversial policies he shouldn't do so like a bull in a china shop.
I said in an earlier post that he may have gone around it the wrong way. I've seen all the news about cancelled visas and the infant. Many of these people have since been able to enter the country. I wasn't saying one man makes a government, it doesn't. I'm saying that Trumps executive order should be dealt with at the federal government level, not by a single district judge. I'm concerned that there will be many more of these judges interfering with the federal government now.

Under the little known Congresional Review Act (allows Comgres to reverse any rule or regulation approved during the six months prior to the inauguration) the Republican Comgress and Trump were successful in reversing the following:
The Stream Protection Act - restricting coal mining companies from dumping waste into streams. Who needs clean streams?
Methane Waste Rule - requiring oil and gas firms to reduce methane leaks from operations on Federal lends. Who cares?
The Resource Extraction Rule - requiring publicly traded oil, gas, and mining companies to disclose payments made to foreign governments. Why would anyone want to know that?
Social Security Gun Rule - requiring the Social Security Administration to submit information to the Criminal Background Check List on people who meet certain mental imparement criteria. I guess that is discriminating against the mentally ill wanting to buy guns.
Well, western values have taken a conservative turn. Basically Brexit was just Jingoism rearing its head, and the conservatives hate of immigration. Let's build walls, let's leave the EU, that will stop all those Eastern, SE European immigrants coming to our country and taking over the High Street. There are a lot of backlashes.
Of course the average man and woman in the West is scared for their jobs, their children's future, their way of life with jobs being sent off shore year by year. Let's get China to make Bathmate, Tim Tams or Frangas.

If you think the EU is so good lets send all the spare immigrants down under you have lots of room for them at, say the rate of 20.000 a year and house them and give them all benefits, just like the EU wants the UK to do why they take a 350 million of us each week.
By the way there will be a back log for say 10 years so you first batch will be 200.000, give you something to do.
Are you ok nowhard ? You seem a little hysterical .
We get lots of refugees and immigrants here and there is a considerable argument too many .
The number 1 source counrty for immigrants into aussie is currently India but refugee from all over. The civil was in Sri Lanka for instance we took refugees from there various countries in Africa and the middle east etc.
I will go and check the immigration rate but can assure you it is far over 20000 .
First Pegman we have somebody talking out of his arse he knows nothing abour the conservative party and immigration, in fact they would have all they can get, but there comes a time when it has to stop, and being told by the EU we have to take 20.00 and house them and put them on benifits is for those of us who voted out was a step to far as figues are hard to come by but in 2014 the UK had 641.00 immigants come to the UK and for some unknown reason 29.000 was from Aus.
But being told to take 20.00 and house them and put them on benifits means in the UK those on any housing lists gets pushed back, thats 20 UK residents going down the ladder again, so leaving is not such a bad thing when you look at it from there.
Plus they think there are another 150.00 of illgal immigrants a year getting into the UK a good thing that has come out of us going is they shut the Jungle down in Cailias when the vote went yes to pulling out, the UK pored millions in there to put up fences to stop them getting into the port there was 10.000 there wanting to get into the UK illegally , so like I said we send them all down to you guys and the 10 year back log another 200.000 to house give benitifts to.
Now thats not being hysterical thats facts, if you look back you see just how many we took in, thousands from Uganda, add on the the few thousand Vietnamese, but then we have a Maltese guy now there trying to tell someone who uncle gave his life trying to save the island during the war, and just like to shout his mouth off on something he knows not much about.
No one has ever been able to tell me why a country has to accept refugees? Please don't give me that "oh we have to be compassionate crap". If they don't like their country why don't they and the rest of the world help them to make where they live be a better place?

If this is to do with my answer then your so wrong CUSP me old mate, as there is a far big difference to taking in and being forced to take with rules being laid down to how you should treat them over your own country men and women.
Did you know that the UK takes in far more immigrants per square mile than the USA does.
I don’t believe we have to accept refugees. In the past, the US traditionally accepted refugees because the nation was built on the backs of refugees and we offered to be place to accept “the tired, the poor, and huddled masses.” However, that was prior to the globalization of the world through international organizations and alliances. Also, the US was sparsely populated and could early absob new refugees.
Times have changed and the US needs to reconsider its refugee policy. We should always accept refugees who can show that their lives and livelihoods are being threatened by overbearing governments. And. On a case by case bases, others who can show that they will be an asset to the betterment of the country
As Cusp said, let the international organizations and alliances address the conditions and problems in the countries generating the refugees.
