          Lol

          I'm an omnivore, like my ancestors.
          I eat meat every day, but I have no issue with some tasty plants. Balance my friend, balance.
          I do not understand people who are vegan. I do not understand people who are "carnivore". I will eat the hell out of some fruit, a delicious oven-roasted Delicatta, some awesome spinach... you're dang right I eat vag.. wait, veg. Haha

            Lol What balance are you talking about!

            To simplify it, Carnivore means eating not just meat in all its types but also all types of Fish or your preferences from it, Eggs, Chicken, Turkey, Milk, Cheese(many types), yogurt, kefir...etc

            You have wide range of food to choose from. And they are not less delicious than sweets that are full of useless sugar.

            Personally, not set minded on only Animal products, due to the fact that I'm a professional trekker, I have to pack with me some non animal products but still eating very healthy like main types of nuts, dates, extra virgin olive oil, banana, apple, grapefruit. But also steak, tuna, cheese are basics for protein.
            On daily basis, I eat pure honey. And to make some here become crazy, whenever I can get fresh meat from trusted butcher, I eat it raw with skimmed sour cream, very tasty

            I know pure Carnivore women who eat only breakfast, but a big quantity, like 500grams raw meat, 300-500g cheese(very delicious/fresh you see milk pouring from inside, no salt), 400g sour cream.

            I tried it with them more than once, even when very hungry, you feel full for prolonged many hours.

            But since am very active, and not always exercising on empty stomach, but midday to evening sometimes, I have to add at least one more meal if not 2, and during trekking is another story/schedule..

              I eat primarily meat and feel much better as well. I've read about the carnivore diet, and its benefits. My diet is almost carnivore, but now and again I do eat some grains and veggies, but not often. I have an office job, but I do exercise very morning and am a pretty fit person. Been a "bodybuilder" for about 20 years. The carnivore diet or sort of paleo is an excellent approach to eating IMO. I don't think humans were meant to eat grain in any form, or at least not in the quantity that most Americans eat it.

                If cholesterol/triglycerides are ever an issue(concerning meats) add in Whole wheat grain bread, wheat thin snack crackers wheat chex and/or Shredded Wheat (unsweetened) as breakfast goods.

                I do like some meats/poultry/fish.

                    I have to weigh in on this since I've been studying carnivore a lot the past year or so, and have been casually researching nutrition for about six or seven years as well.

                    A couple of years ago, if you asked me what the most nutritious foods in the world are, I would have referred you to Dr. Joel Fuhrman's GBOMBS, an acronym he came up with for the healthiest foods on the planet in his estimation, based largely on innumerable medical studies and meta-analysis.

                    G = greens (spinach, kale, romaine, chard, cruciferous veggies like broccoli and cauliflower)
                    B = beans
                    O = onions (the onions family, including leaks, shallots, green onions, garlic)
                    M = mushrooms (white, cremini, Portobello, shiitake, oyster, maitake, reishi; should always be cooked to reduce argaritine which is potentially carcinogenic)
                    B = berries
                    S = seeds/nuts

                    For a while I really felt this was the last word in super nutrition, and did a lot of my own research on finding out the vitamin and mineral content of this or that food on that list.

                    Please, for the love of God do not resort to eating only or even mostly those foods, as Fuhrman advocates (he is almost entirely vegetarian, I believe he eats a little fish on rare occasion).

                    This approach of his is extremely biased and simple-minded. One of the first tenets of logic and argumentation is to first recognize the complexity of an issue, and this one is flawed to the core.

                    This approach was done with a starting bias that meat products are inferior food sources, because epidemiological studies show correlations with heavy meat eaters and things like coronary heart disease, strokes and heart attacks; this is also his bias because Fuhrman has brought back many of his patients from the brink of death (severe obesity and heart disease) with a strictly diet-based approach eating these foods, helping them lose even hundreds of pounds of obese weight and restoring their cardiological and circulatory health...even patients in their 70's or older.

                    Here's why the plant-based GBOMBS is completely flawed:

                    1) If you eat PROCESSED, mass-produced meat and animal products, you are getting a whole lot of what your body actually needs....and a whole lot of what it doesn't, toxins. Pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, fertilizers laden with heavy metals, pharmaceuticals-laden water sources, animals fed completely unnatural diets of genetically obliterated grains (GM corn is corn that has the Glyphosate pesticide literally embedded within its DNA; 2/3's of all U.S. corn is GMO, and 3/4 of all soy...and for the love of god stay away from soy!). How about the horrific hormones they fatten up the animals with or shock them with to produce yet another dozen eggs or gallons of milk before their bodies are so destroyed they go straight to slaughter. How about the animals spending their entire lives in horrific unnatural conditions never even having a chance to move around much, throwing off their natural protein to muscle ratios, natural hormone levels. In other words, eating meat and eggs and dairy gives you more or less what your body needs but also dumps a massive toxic load into your system.

                    The above is from tons of my research but also years of personal experience. I've swung through every level of fitness, fat to skinny to in between, in rude health, in awful health, fast food addict to organic store fanatic. I've seen the night and day differences.

                    2) From an evolutionary standpoint, all tribal human ancestors (and even current day indigenous peoples) prioritize animal foods for nutrition, and use plant foods as a backup and for enjoyment / flavor, not a go-to nutrient source.

                    3) Based on #1 above, Fuhrman saw all sorts of positive correlations between meat consumption and morbidity and chronic diseases, without considering the quality of the meat sources (which I go into below).

                    4) When someone goes from SAD (Standard American Diet, meaning fast food and processed garbage), to mostly plant-based eating, they will initially experience dramatic improvements in health, relief from chronic conditions, crazy weight loss and so on. This is because the toxic load in plants tends to be lower than the god-awful nature of CAFO type meat and dairy.
                    However, as some in this thread seem quite aware of, eating a strictly plant-based diet is a surefire way to slowly waste away in the long term. Your will simply never get certain key vitamins, minerals, essential amino acids and essential fatty acids from plants alone. Many vegans cheat without telling anyone, and become overcome with the need for some fish or eggs, and eating such things immediately feel incredibly better, but then go right back to their psychotic brainwashed state denying what their body just told them. There is a massive movement of ex-vegans coming forth and you can find them all over YouTube. All vegans come down with the same set of chronic symptoms after about a year or so without animal foods- skin problems, brain fog, constant hunger (need to eat every two hours), intense cravings for carbohydrates, and lack of energy. The skin in particular is one way to immediately notice the damage a vegan is doing to their self. Look up Dennis Kucinich in an image search for what I mean, and then Google "ex vegans before and after" to see the difference in their skin's vitality and the glow of real health that comes back into the face of an omnivore.

                    5) Plant foods by and large lack certain key nutrients, so while one may be very high in this or that vitamin or mineral, it is lacking in many others, whereas a properly sourced steak is JAMMED with nutrition nearly across the board. Someone just coming off a meat-heavy (mainstream sourced) diet into a mostly plant-based one, or someone just starting off in the misadventure of veganism can survive awhile with certain nutrients not being provided in the diet, as the body has stores of these things in places like the liver, the joints, bones, and in their fat. But once those stores run low, you get all the typical ailments of a vegan. Look up any well known athlete who has gone vegan and I guarantee you two things will have happened to them already, or will happen soon: 1) their competitors will start beating them easily, and 2) they will come down with joint-related injuries.

                    6) Plant foods are often loaded with what are called anti-nutrients. Soy is among the worst offenders, but all nuts and seeds in particular have extremely high amounts of anti-nurtrients such as lignans and phytates, which block the absorption of important minerals in particular. Nuts and seeds have high anti-nutrient content in part to survive the passage through a rodent animal's digestive system. Almond milk is the furthest thing from a health food. Vegetables in particular are often very high in anti-nutrients, because plants do not want to be eaten by animals, the anti-nutrients are a defense mechanism...and yes of course certain herbivores have adapted to eating large amounts of specific plant leaves and stems. But while a goat can eat buckets of kale without issue, humans did not evolve under such a diet. Fruits actually are designed to be visually appealing and to be eaten,, but they also contain some anti-nutrients, and again their nutrition profiles do not compare at all to meat and dairy.

                    I remember for years going to a site called World's Healthiest Foods (abbreviated w.h. in the URL), and looking up for example a list of foods with the most vitamin C, or zinc, or copper. Or I would look up a particular foods on the GBOMBS list (they are supposedly listed in order from most nutrient dense to least, so greens is the top food), for example spinach which is a neutral-tasting, tolerable green to throw into shakes and such, and I would be amazed at how much zinc and folate it had, patting myself on the back for getting a lot of those nutrients into my system.....and a huge amount of it going right out my backside, thanks to the anti-nutrients. Also, the human digestive system is not designed to process such huge amounts of plant fibers, it causes major gastric / intestinal problems in the long run for vegans and vegetarians.

                    There is one group that I know is something of an exception to the vegetarian diet and that would be East Indians, who have adapted to eating lots of plant foods over thousands of years, and it needs to be noted they still occasionally eat poultry, fish, goat and sheep as well as eggs (I'm generalizing because it is generally true).

                    Historically, there has not been a SINGLE tribe of the human race that subsisted on strictly plant foods. Plant foods are used as an energy source (staple crops such as corn, wheat, rice and potatoes high in carbs but low in nutrition), and for flavor and variety, while animal foods are the real nutrition.

                    Here is where I tell you to not take my word for it but to do your own research. I want you to look up any vitamin (A, the B's, C, D, E, K, choline, etc.) or any mineral, do a search for which foods have the most of it. Then, I want you to specifically look up how much of that same nutrient is found in two different meat sources- beef, and beef liver. In virtually every instance you are going to find the meat has way, WAY more of that nutrient than the highest-rated plant. You are likely to encounter many biased lists as I did that deliberately exclude animal foods from their list, or maybe that the activist author considered more ethical such as fish or eggs, but leaving out the beef. So be sure to specifically look up "vitamin A in beef" and "vitamin A in beef liver", compared to "foods with the most vitamin A".

                    Every single time you do this comparison you will see for yourself, plants are inferior, meats are a super food.

                    Think about this. An egg is designed to have absolutely all of the material it needs inside of it to completely grow the embryo into a full-blown chick. That means that every single nutrient needed to create a baby chicken is in that egg.

                    Think about this. Milk from mammals is designed to provide a newborn with absolutely ALL of the nutrition the newborn needs, not just to stay alive but to thrive and start growing at an alarming rate....not to mention it is loaded with immuno factors, helpful hormones, a half dozen other beneficial compounds beyond the nutrients. Milk must therefore also be a complete nutrition source.

                    A personal anecdote about milk. In my teens I ate very little overall, and not very well. I would typically either skip breakfast and have just Sunny Delight and Corn-Nuts for lunch, or maybe a bowl of toxic cereal in the morning (General Mills, Kellogg; extremely low nutrient content, loaded with inorganic iron you can actually pull out with a magnet). Dinner was my only real meal, and my mom typically would make me a plate of green peas, tater tots (fried hashed potatoes), and fish sticks. There is no way I could have been the very healthy, but exceedingly skinny awkward teen that I was from the nutrition in only that dinner meal. (I occasionally also ate meat loaf or spaghetti, peanut butter sandwich or grilled cheese, but never large portions). For years and years I wondered how in the hell I turned out to be tall (6'1"), healthy, strong-boned, overall in very good health, despite that I virtually NEVER ate fruits and vegetables. Once in awhile I'd eat an apple, or an orange during soccer games. So how come I didn't keel over and die from lacking two dozen vitamins and minerals by not eating my fruits and veggies?

                    The answer is in part that I drank nearly half a gallon of milk every day. I am a milk fanatic to this day. Whatever I wasn't getting from the milk I made up for with the daily fish or meat balls. The fruits and veggies and grains I did eat surely helped somewhat, but the lion's share of the nutrition is in the animal food. It's indisputable.

                    Now I have to finish by saying, you absolutely must avoid the typical highly-processed animal foods most people eat today, especially in the United States. As often as you practically can, source you meats and dairy and eggs locally, and it must be much more than organic, which is a good start but not good enough. If beef, it needs to be not only grass fed but grass finished, and of course free range, pasture-raised. Cows eat grass all day long and they need to walk around while doing so, or your meat is just not going to be the nutritional powerhouse that beef used to be a hundred years ago.

                    Dairy should be raw if at all possible. This post is already massive so I won't go into why, but if you are old enough, and you try some local farm's raw milk, you might suddenly have flashbacks of your youth the moment you smell and taste it. Pasteurization and homogenization mess things up, and I can go into why later if anyone wants. Ignore the b.s. fear-mongering about getting a lethal infection from non-pasteurized dairy, it's a scare tactic. I've read the my-son-nearly-died sob stories, but I won't be dissuaded...do your own research and come to your own conclusions, but good luck finding truly unbiased and truthful information these days on an ever-more-censored internet jammed with disinfo and corporate astro-turfing. PM me if you want some references on sites that no longer come up in Google searches. I can back up everything I've written here, but I expect no one to simply take me at my word. Always, always do your own research. I have come to see that most authority figures are incompetent, ill-intentioned or both. It's not merely that doctors are taught nothing about nutrition or preventative health measures, even dietitians are still fed various completely debunked myths like that dietary cholesterol increases blood serum levels of cholesterol....a vital nutrient that is the cell membrane of every single cell in your body, and which your liver can only synthesize a portion of your daily requirement thereof...the rest must come from your food. (A certain percentage of the human rae is more sensitive to cholesterol in good, and they're not the majority, but even then all it does is raise both the HDL and LDL in the same proportions, and a more honest study of the topic of cholesterol, blood pressure and atherosclerosis tells you that it is the ratiero between those two types of cholesterol that is troublesome, not merely the total amount in the blood. Also....how come no one focuses on how much has adhered to the walls of your arteries, instead of how much of floating around in your blood harmlessly, doing what it's supposed to be doing? How come no one points out how eating fried foods in particular are what scar your arterial walls, forcing the cholesterol to patch things up and eventually cause clogging. Never mind all that, here take this statin drug for the rest of your life, your blood pressure is genetic! Call me when you develop Alzheimers from the lack of cholesterol in your brain.

                    Salt is also demonized, as is saturated fat, and most dietitians know virtually nothing about anti-nutrients, which makes me assume there's an agenda behind their skewed educations as well. Do. Your. Own. Research. It may take you years to have a reasonable sense of the big picture truths being kept from you, but your freakin' health is worth that effort. Nothing is more valuable than good health, as many billions of us are about to find out in the coming famines.

                    I strongly recommend Frank Tufano who I follow on YouTube. He's self-taught (like Abraham Lincoln and dozens of other mavericks typically are), and if you look at some of his older videos you will see his knowledge of nutrition is vastly deep and wide. Most of the so-called carnivore movement is filled with meathead morons who eat processed garbage animal foods, and shills for the "corn-ivore" lobby (corn-fed beef). Tufano frequently shows the research studies that he references, and he lives the reality of a true carnivore, extremely so and some of what he does will gross you out and make you doubt his sanity, but he is a Greek god in magnificent health of body and mind.

                    Of course be aware that eating lots of beef can lead to excess iron, which is dangerous. Beef should be balanced with other meats, animal livers, and dairy and eggs.

                        I heard he did that but haven't seen the documentary. What a tragedy, his old body is going to start breaking down very rapidly.

                          A great documentary! Debunking the “we need meat to be strong” bulshit mythes. Im eating 90% vegan and feel great also great errections feeling energized.

                          Its sad to see this many meatlovers here, red meat in particular is increasing risk for cancer, heart deaseases etc. Im not against eating good quality meat now and then but eating it multiple times a week and the type of meat people eat nowdays nah cant be good

                            Meat consumption contributed to human evolution for millions of years, so why is it that in the past couple of decades we should suddenly stop eating it? In fact, meat consumption has declined while rates of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc... continue to grow.
