I was reading on Bib's site. He cautions against taking collagen and vitamin C while hanging because it toughens the penis and encourages healing. His logic is that the micro tears should not heal quickly.

So far its been a week with type 1&3 collagen, and my penis has felt stretchier, but more so girthier that usual. also flaccid hang has improved. This is with my routine manual excersises. ( no hanging for me yet, lol)...Im still curious as to whether to continue supplementing with collagen as i dont want to hinder my gains by "toughening" my penis just yet. Although this supp might seem good to cement gains, if that theory holds true.

Have been taking my collagen, its a bitch to take it on an empty stomach, but any advantage I can get I'll take.
I've been getting a decent flacid hang, and while I can't vouch that my penis is "stretchier" as a whole, the core tissue does seem to feel, and don't freak out here, tougher.
I haven't lost length, and its too soon to claim any gains, but I've been sticking to my schedule of exercises and extending, and this tough feeling only comes when the penis is fairly flacid, once I'm warmed up and started stetching, I can say its stetchier at this point in time, in fact, I ran a bath, and sat in there jelqing in a downward direction, the hang I got afterwards was impressive to say the least, EL seems to be around the same however.
On an upside, my skin is feeling fantastic.I'm not gay, but sometimes, I look at my penis and I think, yeah... that looks pretty good.

LOveMEat, I'll be holidaying just after X-mas, I doubt I'll be able to take the collagen and maintain a theraputic level in my system when my schedule for my break will be so eratic, but I'll continue with my exercises and stretches, and drop the extending off, point being, if my EL goes up, down or remains the same, I won't be able to confirm whether it was the collagen's effects or not, but I'll be sure to keep everyone posted as to what I "think" was the cause... sorta kinda hoping it goes up as opposed to down
On the topic, I'm wondering if for my 2011 PE resolution of collagen supplimentation should be included in the year's plans, generally I'm feeling right now, I'll burn through my current stock... probably in around 2.5-3 months into 2011, if I'm gaining, I don't plan to stop or change anything until I plateau, I should be able to give somewhat anacdotal evidence to the collagen's effectiveness.I'm not gay, but sometimes, I look at my penis and I think, yeah... that looks pretty good.

While I was researching about this topic I´ve read this from marinera over TP:
Maybe people is seeing greater gains due speeded recovery?I think you have to read the reparation process of ligament or tendon, if it's not done...
The process is long and too many things appear during. Look for an article who speack about that and you will can see (what i'm going to talk it's too simplified) : first we have scar tissu ( collagen type N°?) and after some week it becomes collagen type 1.
Scar tissu is metabolic collagen, who are more breakable. This is good but if you dont let the collagen type 1 appear , then you have inflamation ,and the part where are the tension, if you continue to PE, is at the same place. That's why we have to wait few day after a "good" session of PE.

Hey guys. Registered as I found a thread I could finally contribute something to. Im going to copy and paste something from a very informative forum. The background info you'll need:
1. amino acids taken on an empty stomach cause their own special effects, when not competing for absorption with other aminos
2. this formula will increase the bodies own production of cartlidge, collagen, connective tissue and blood vessel repair/health
Here goes:

Twice a week pre-bed on days when I have an empty stomach at that time I take:
L-Proline
L-Lysine
Vitamin C
This formula was recommended by Linus Pauling and supported by Dr. Rath who recommends the addition of EgCG, specifically to support healthy blood vessels.
If I were coasting or not attempting to grow just a little in key places then I would add EgCG.
If I were attempting to repair a connective tissue injury I would dose this formula + EgCG several times a day every day.
Vitamine C (ascorbic acid) works as a coenzyme to convert proline and lysine to hydroxy-proline and hydroxy-lysine, both important to the collagen structure.
Ratio: 1.2/3/3/
Total daily is:
1.2 grams of L-Proline
3 grams of L-Lysine
3 grams of Vitamin C
in three to six divided doses.
Proline and lysine must be hydroxylated into hydroxyproline and hydroxylysine in order for collagen to have proper strength and structure. Symptoms of defective synthesis would include pain in limbs and general weakening of collagen in tendons and bones.
Vitamin C is essential for hydroxylating proline and lysine. Collagen synthesized in the absence of vitamin C is usually insufficiently hydroxylated and thus less stable and easily destroyed.
The cofactor manganese is needed for glycolysation of specific hydroxylysine residues and a copper-dependent cross linking though lysl and hydroxylysyl derivatives. The stability of collagen depends on the hydroxyproline content and on the lysine-hydroxylysl cross-links.

I'd say this would be way better than eating collagen, which would just be broken down in digestion. This way the body will make all different types of collagen as needed. It's probs a bit cheaper too!
