use Nizoral 2% shampoo. the active ingredient, ketoconazole, has been proven to not only stop hairloss but also regrow new hair, with no systemic side effects like with Propecia. you could also try these things called scalp exercises (similar to PE, but for scalps!). stuff like laser combs are bogus and a waste of money. i would just avoid Propecia altogether as it's like playing with fire i've heard.

This stuff came back to really sting me.
I quit in March after going on and off the drug and my body totally crashed, it's been 6 months off and it has left me with ED, low libido, leg hair loss to name just a few symptoms. I would warn anyone taking this poison to drop it now.Comment

well, going on and off of it was the real problem. you messed with your hormones in an inconsistant manner. if you had stayed on it your body would have adjusted and re-balanced itself, however by quitting and starting, your body was unable to regain balance. go get some bloodwork done, you might need a bit of hormone therapy. HCG, novladex, or clomid might help you get back to normal. but if your test is low naturally, you might be better just going with androgel.

Joe, some people use the exercises on sites like these purely to improve their erectile quality, so it might be worth exploring them in that manner.
I'm not sure that it is a case of the body not being given a chance to balance itself in people who react badly and don't recover after taking Propecia. If the body can balance itself while on the drug, what changes that makes it unable to do so coming off of it? There's forums full of people theorising what has happened to them with this drug, I suppose deeper discussion is better left to those websites.
I admittedly have never taken it, but I would caution people try safer avenues first. The people who do well on it... well great for them, but I think people should be fully aware of the risks and alternatives.
