  • hanging for length...

    so i have a question for you guys. i have been doing light jelqing routines for a year, made some modest gains, and recently have started doing JPs routine about 4 times a week and am hoping to get some gains from it. But i was just wondering if doing some hanging will help increase my length quicker and more effectively. Right now im at 6.0 and would like to someday reach 6.5

    So will adding light hanging, like .5-2 pound, to my routine give me faster length gains?

    And i know you have to be conditioned to do hanging. But i would consider myself pretty well conditioned so i dont think that is an issue, plus ill be doing veryy light weight for the first few weeks just as a precaution.

    I haven't done hanging myself yet but from what i've read you shouldn't combine jelqing with hanging. Just very light jelqing.
    Current goals: Lose weight, ditch porn completely and get in the habit of PE again.

      I agree with Wantstobebetter, generally normal jelqs are not recommended with hanging, here's why:

      Generally only light jelqs are recommended with hanging, and this is mostly just to restore circulation. BTB jelqs are helpful too, and of course kegals are always recommended as part of any PE regimen.

      You Could Add Jelqs, but Why?
      Perhaps with extensive hanging experience (lets say a very consistent 6 months to 1 year of hanging), you could add jelqs, but I don't see it helping much. Also, the risk of injury is very high with full normal jelqs. I've tried it after being fatigued after hanging and guess what, it hurts like hell... if not at first, then by the next day. I don't recommend it

      Hanging = Controlled Damage
      Hanging alone creates plenty of damage. In fact, its probably the most extreme form of work out there for length gains (as an example, Bib has tested up to 66lbs hanging, and dustpan was doing 75lbs last time I checked). The kind of forces you are exerting on your penis are very extreme with hanging. And it's not just the weight.

      Jelqing could Interfere with Hanging Gains
      Often I feel more stress at my attachment point than anywhere else (with a traditional hanger). Your tissues are weakened here, and if you weaken them further, you might be forced to reduce the amount of weight you're using. Then you wouldn't get the full benefit of hanging.

      Proper hanging causes controlled damage:
      fatigue results in microtears, creep, and eventually results in healing in a permanent elongated state.

        About your original question: yes absolutely, hanging is excellent for length gains. You've been PEing a year if I read things correctly, so you can start hanging anytime you want, you're ready.

          thanks...i checked out the hanging 101 and i think im gonna start doing it lightly. do you think gaining a half inch is realistic from hanging? and how long could that take...a few months? a year?

          and i think im gonna keep doin jps routine and keep the hanging very light. and once i finish the 3 month routine then start some legit hanging and cut back on the jelqing. cuz then ill be really conditioned and sorta have my penis used to the hanging.

              Most guys gain at least 1.5" if they are willing to hang at least a few years. And those are the super hard gainers. Guys that are willing to hang for a few years seem to have no problem normally gaining 2" or more in total length. Most stop since few guys try to gain more than 2" or so.

              Bib says he gained jelqing, but I thought he was talking about pre-hanging experience. He was always getting massive fatigue from hanging & he only took a few rest days over the course of a few years in a row of hanging. He did do jelqs & BTB jelqs, but he says its just to restore circulation. Hard jelqs would / could possibly limit the amount of weight you could hang since at least for me, I am always sore at the attachment point to some extent, and jelqs don't help that either.

              At the same time, jelqs have helped me; I accidentally gained 1/8" of girth, just with light jelqs which I do to restore my circulation after hanging (my dick is always temporarily dented at the attachment point, and usually some low erection jelqs & then followed by a full erection get rid of the dent). I guess the attachment point stress really squeezes me. I would not tighten it as much, but doing BTC hanging, it has to be pretty tight or it will slip...

                  woahh 1.5 inches would be crazy gains!! if i ever got .5 id be the happiest guy around lol. but say i did start to actually gain the length...would i loose some of my girth? Because im not exactly up there with my girth of 4.75

                  But to me gaining more length would just be a self confidence thing even if the ladies say girth is more important

                    Ya I just built the "Swim Cap Hanger" from Tom Hubbards site. Using it for first time tonight! I've heard nothing but good things about hanging and gaining over an inch in 4-6 months definately IS NOT uncommon!

                    Magic Fingers, I don't know if you'd lose a ton of girth BUT maybe a tad. I mean think about it in a physiological fashion. Take something thick and stretch the fuck out of it for a long time and after a while it will be much longer but less thick, know what I mean. Eventually the girth will catch up, just have fun man, make sure you do equal parts so you don't lopsided (meaning, like a pencil, long and skinny!!)

                      woww gaining over an inch in 4-6 months!!!! jeeez i guess hanging is where its at hahaha. and yea i know what you mean bgstick18. it makes sense. ill go for the length first then play catch up with the girth

                        Just read it and it looks easy to do. So after you roll it off the PVC pipe, you roll it on like a condom? Is it going to grip the head of the penis?
