Anyone here took accutane as a teen and have a thin penis? I heard it affects growth hormone and pituitary gland which I think is responsible for penis growth. Just want to see how true this is.

Took accutane as a teen?

Wasn't accutane prescribed for adolescents with severe acne by dermatologists?

I had adult onset acne that was incredibly severe. Got it in my early 20s and it was so bad I had lesions on my face. So I was prescribed Accutane and was on it for 6 months. Acne cleared up and now I get a pimple maybe once a year, so that stuff definitely worked, but it was the worst crap I've ever been on. Was utterly miserable.
As for penis size ... mine actually grew again in my mid-20s about an inch, so Accutane didn't have an affect on it. But I didn't take it in my teens.

I took it when I was 12 or 13 for almost two years I think? My memory's a bit foggy as that was over 20 years ago. I had a severe case of acne growing up. It just came on the market and was considered an controversial drug at the time. Or at least that's what I was told. Anyway, I ended up with an average unit. Girth was the one thing I didn't measure before I started PEing, but based on my measurements afterwards I'm guessing I had 4.25~4.5" MEG. Length was 6".Originally posted by Jimbo10228 View PostAnyone here took accutane as a teen and have a thin penis? I took it at 17 or 18 I actually took way more than I was prescribed because I wasn't getting the results I wanted and loads of my hair fell out, can't remember how long I took it for,but I never filled out like my dad I have skinny wrists and I can't grow a full beard, dick got thicker though it's around 5 inches now but didn't grow much in length but I discovered I got raised prolactin too I dunno if that has anything to do with the accutane I took,I would like to get my Igf-1 tested I would of never have taken that poison if I knew what damage it can cause.

Me neither but at the time nothing else seemed to help my bad acne that would have caused acne scars if I didn't took care of that. Nowadays there is quite good topicals (azelaic acid, tretinoin, benzoyl peroxide). Combined with normal antibiotics should do quite good job. But isotretinoin is by far the most effective. Shame it's such a poison to whole endocrine system.Originally posted by maxymoon View PostI took it at 17 or 18 I actually took way more than I was prescribed because I wasn't getting the results I wanted and loads of my hair fell out, can't remember how long I took it for,but I never filled out like my dad I have skinny wrists and I can't grow a full beard, dick got thicker though it's around 5 inches now but didn't grow much in length but I discovered I got raised prolactin too I dunno if that has anything to do with the accutane I took,I would like to get my Igf-1 tested I would of never have taken that poison if I knew what damage it can cause.
Under year ago I took course of isotretinoin for my adult acne (rosacea) with low dose 20 mg/day (0,2 mg /kg/day). That worked and I didn't notice any sides with that low dose. Libido didn't suffer and so on, but that might be because my testosterone is exogenous as I'm on TRT. As a teen my dose was 60-80 mg / day.
