There was another poll website where women voted on the number of partners they slept with; it is similar to the results here, but on that site the bi-modality of the graph is clearer. Here we have more people sleeping with 5-10 than 11-15.
Based on this we can speculate that for the group of people whom the sample represents, most people are either very monogamous or very polygamous. Based on this evidence, it is difficult to say whether humans are naturally monogamous or polygamous. Combined with the notion of genetic survival however, it does seem as if humans are naturally polygamous. We could further strengthen this by saying that cultural and religious forces have shaped the sexual relationship styles of human beings, hence why there are many people who are monogamous.
There are a methodogical issue though; the poll does not control for age. One would think that the probability of having more partners increases as one ages. Perhaps a better way to gain complete information on the polygamy/monogamy issue is to derive a sample of 18-60 year olds, and stratify it.
